Kingdom Hearts HD Movies

Well. We're here. Two movies left to go before we can put the HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX collections behind us. (I had to look the name of this collection up. Woof.) I am pretty excited. Don't worry. We'll come back to these games because I do want to get the platinum trophies. But we got kind of an issue here. Square-Enix never remastered the DS games. They made 358-2 Days and Re:Coded into movies. We could have used the Big E to play through these games, but I decided against it. I have yet to perfect DS emulation on my computer, and make it look good on stream, and these games are (though they do have their good parts) kind of a slog. One more movie left. It's a movie, based on a remake, of a 2005 game that was on cell phones. I played the remake on original hardware. Proved that I beat it. And I hated it. This is the worst in the series for me. The gameplay is good, but the story is AWFUL! There are a couple of story beats at the end that are good, but they just went way out to left field to tell this story. And it just felt long. I was getting frustrated at some scenes. But it does have important story elements (a few), and the gameplay was unique. If they ever remaster this, I'll play it. But I will not emulate this. The movie will do. As of recording, 414 days left to beat the series. One more movie left before Kingdom Hearts III. This actually wraps up the 1.5, the 2.5, and the 2.8 collections for us. That part of this journey is over. This is a movie based on a browser game in Japan only. Later, the story was adapted to iOS and Android devices under several names as several story beats were added. This game is delisted. You can't go back and get it. Also, fans have catalogued the story but I'm not watching 1-8 hours of gameplay footage. This movie will have to do until Kingdom Hearts IV (or something else) catalogues what happened in the Age of Fairy Tales. To be honest Square-Enix really dropped the ball here.
