In this video I show you what I do when it's time for me to use the washing machine cleaner. I use the Tide Washing Machine Cleaner product for this procedure. I use this approximately every 2 months or so to help freshen up the washers. You might have to use it more or less often depending how much laundry you do. You use this product in an empty machine as this product is not meant to wash clothing in. If you washer has the extra rinse option, turn it on so it can rinse as many times as possible. This product helps to remove residue buildup and to help keep the washer fresh. Don't be surprised if you have to run the washer through 2 additional cycles after the initial one if there are still suds in the machine. I show you how I use it in all 3 of my washers including my front loader, pedestal and my old regular old washer. This video is for demonstration purposes only. In this video I give you some tips and recommendations if you want to or like to use or do use these scent booster beads in your laundry. You add these to the main wash cycle. If you use a liquid detergent in your detergent dispenser, I recommend putting the beads directly into the washer drum. If you try to put these in your liquid detergent dispenser, the beads can clog the siphon tube that the liquid passes through when the detergent is dispensed. If you use powder, you can put the beads in with the powder in the dispenser because you remove the liquid dispenser and the powder usually just gets washed right into the washer. In some washers, you raise a gate. Read your owners manual for your washer for the manufactures recommendations when using powders or beads like these. You want to add these to the drum before you add your clothes so they get submerged into the water as fast as possible. I recommend adding these to the tub before the clothes with top load washers too. This is one of those products that doesn't foam up. You add however much you want. More if you want more scent in your clothes or less if you don't want the scent to be as strong. One recommendation I do have is to match the brands you use. If you use Downy fabric softener, I recommend using the Downy brand scent beads for example.
