V Rising is an open-world survival action RPG developed by Stunlock Studios. You play as a newly awakened vampire in a gothic fantasy world, tasked with rebuilding your strength and empire. Core gameplay involves hunting for blood to regain power, crafting gear, building a castle, and battling enemies ranging from bandits to supernatural beasts. The game features real-time combat with a focus on skill-based mechanics, allowing you to wield weapons and vampiric abilities. It supports solo, co-op, and PvP modes, with dynamic day-night cycles that affect gameplay—sunlight weakens vampires, making nighttime ideal for exploration and conquest. The world is richly detailed, with varied biomes and a deep progression system for customizing your vampire lord. Released in early access in 2022, it fully launched in 2024, with a PS5 version following in June 2024.
