Elon has become an outspoken supporter of Germany's AfD political party. Most people agree they are a revival of the of the Nazi Party tailored for current needs. What is indisputable is that they look to the Nazi party for their inspiration. Elon could have chosen to support the CDU a center-right party much like the Republicans of the Nixon-Bush era but he did not choose to support the mainstream conservatives. All the parties in Germany, including the center-right CDU, consider the AfD so toxic that they refuse to form a governing coalition with them. Maybe that Nazi salute was not as unintentional as some propagandists would have us believe.
