1) The Book of Genesis
TommyB4JesusGENESIS is the book of beginnings. It is the beginning of God's relationship with man and it records the beginning of heaven and earth, plant life, animal life, mankind, sin, apostasy, sacrifices, covenants, family life, religions, races, nations, languages, government, and death. Genesis is kin to genes, generate, genealogy, generation, genius, general, gender, and Gentile. The book contains 50 chapters and 1,533 verses. Genesis begins the progressive revelation of the Lord to man. God communicates to man by words, but animals communicate through sounds. The Lord gave His words through dreams and visions before there was any written revelation (Numbers 12:6) and there was no written revelation for approximately 2500 years. The Old Testament records more light for man than dreams and visions. The New Testament records more truth for man than the Old Testament. The progressive revelation of God culminated in the pure 1611 Authorized King James Bible, which gives more light than the original languages of the Scriptures. The theme of the book is the downward road of sin. Man began in a paradise and ended in a coffin in Egypt (Gen. 50:26). The reality of life is a downward road. All clocks run down. This exposes the ,farce of the religion of secular humanism and its one main dogma, the theory of evolution teaches man began in a puddle and will end in a paradise. God teaches man began in a paradise and will end in a fiery puddle. The road of lust and sin ends in death and hell (James 1:15). Evolution requires more faith than creationism because evolution is a Proven farce through scientific observation while creationism is proven right by science. An evolutionist is truly an absent-minded professor (Romans 1:22-25). Evolution claims the Earth is billions of years old which goes beyond the laws of thermodynamics. Which given enough time everything breaks apart. (From 1-10,000 years) Super-Nova Remnants are known to happen on a average of every 26 years and scientists only have found 250 of them in total existence. That would put the age of the Earth at about 6,500yrs which fits biblical doctrine, not millions or billions but thousands of years old. To put it another way if Evolutionist were correct and for the sake of argument let’s say the earth is 2.6 billion years old. that means they would be able to trace back 100,000,000 Super Nova Remnants not just 250. Furthermore, life can’t come from non life (Rock does not = Life). Sir Frederick Hoyle a Cambridge Astro physicist says that the chances of DNA coming to be on its own as complex as it is is 1/10 to the 40,000 power. Otherwise impossible. When someone actually stops being a parrot and observes their surroundings, they'll see the fingerprint of God (2 Cor. 4:3-4; 2 Tim. 2:25-26; John 3:14-21). 2) The Book of Exodus
TommyB4JesusEXODUS is a book of redemption. The first word Now implies that Exodus is a supplement to Genesis because man regained some of what he lost in Genesis. The Lord provided the way of redeeming man's lost condition. Exodus records the new beginning of people who trusted the Lord's redemption through the shed blood of the Passover Lamb (John 1:29). Exodus records the historical departure of the nation of Israel from Egypt. Spiritually, this record gives the experiences involved with the salvation sinner. The Lord provides the way of salvation through the shed blood of the Lamb. This power liberates the slave from the bondage of sin (Acts 26: 18; Rom. 6:14-22). Practically, the book reveals the beginning trials of walking against the world system. Exodus also provides comfort and learning for the born again believer and pastor because Moses was the shepherd of a church (Is. 63:11; Acts 7:38; Rom. 15:4; I Cor. 10:1-1 1). The book contains 40 chapters and 1,213 verses. Doctrinally, Exodus prophesies the Rapture of the church, the Tribulation (Micah 7:14-15; Matt. 24: 15-22), and events preceding the Lord's Second Coming (Rev. I I :6). Moses was the author according to the Lord (Mark 12:26; Luke 20:37). Exodus is kin to exit, exclude, exile, expel, execute, extract, expunge, exterminate, extirpate, extinct, export, excommunicate, and ecclesia. When a sinner exits the system of the world he can excel and exceed the slave of the world like Moses, if he exalts the Lord and His word (Deut. 8:3). King James Bible.2 views -
3) The Book of Leviticus
TommyB4JesusLEVITICUS begins with the word And; therefore, it is a continuation of Exodus. The book focuses on the most important quality to fellowship with the holy God. The people could not approach God when He spoke from a mountain, but they could approach God when He spoke from the 'tabernacle. Holiness is the key quality to approach God (Lev. 19:2). The word holy occurs 94 times in the 27 chapters and 859 verses of the book. God had a temple for His people in the OT, but in the NT God has a people for His temple (1 Cor, 3:16-17; 6:19-20), The temple is the meeting ground for fellowship. Holiness is the most important attribute of God and it is the priority for a believer to fellowship with the holy God (1 Thess. 4:1-8; 1 Peter 1:13-16; 1 John 1). Spiritually, Exodus typifies justification and Leviticus typifies sanctification or holiness (Ex. 13:2). True holiness is only attained through spiritual discernment under the guidance of the Holy Ghost (John 16:13-14; 17:17). Holiness requires discretion and proper judgment between the holy and the profane (Lev. 10:10; 11:47; Prov. 2:11; Isa. 5:20; John 7:24; 1 Cor. 2:9-16). The only absolute standard for holiness is the true Bible (John 12:48; 2 Tim. 3:15-17). Sincere students of the word pray for good judgment to attain true holiness (Ps. 119:66; ,Rom. 7:12; 2 Cor. 7:1). The sons of Levi were chosen' by the Lord to be the OT priests because they demonstrated proper judgment (Ex. 32:26-29; Deut. 33:8-11; Ps. 106:30-31). In the NT every believer is a priest (Acts 4:36; 1 Peter 2:5). 'Leviticus served as a handbook for the Levites in the proper methods of sacrifices, offerings, and ethical standards (Deut. 6:24-25). The Jews refer to the book as the Law ofthe Priests. The ministry of the Levites was the preservation, practice, and preaching of the Scriptures (Ezra 7:6-10; Neh. 8:1-8; Ezek, 44:23; Mal. 2:1-10). 4) The Book of Numbers
TommyB4JesusNUMBERS as Leviticus is a continuation of the walk and service of the children of Israel after their exodus from Egypt. This book reveals the awesome power of God to keep precise records of the words and deeds of people (Dan. 7:10; Matt. 12:36-37; Rev. 20:12). It records the rejection of God's will (Heb. 3:7-19) and the consequences of wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. The title may come from the two great numberings of the children of Israel. The 36 chapters and 1,288 verses of this book were written by Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho (Num. 36:13; Luke 24:25-27, 44-45). Born again believers are able to receive learning, comfort, and patience from the history of Israel because Moses was a shepherd and Israel was a unique church (Isa. 63:11 ; Acts 7:38; Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor. 10:1-11). The book of Leviticus emphasizes the importance of one's holy walk with God. Numbers emphasizes the importance of one's holy work or service for God. King James Bible.1 view -
5) The Book of Deuteronomy
TommyB4JesusDEUTERONOMY records the last words of Moses to Israel. Moses reviewed the history of Israel and offered lawful advice to establish and maintain a spiritual and prosperous nation. These lawful principles formed the commonwealth of Israel (Eph. 2:12). A commonwealth generally designates...a republican frame of government, one in which the welfare and rights of the entire mass of people are the main consideration, rather than the privileges of a class or the will of a monarch (Black's Law Dictionary). A commonwealth seeks the well being of the common people through the common law (Esther 10:3). A constitutional republic is that form of government in which the administration of affairs is open to all the citizens (Bouvier's Law Dictionary, 1856). The lawful authority in this form of government is retained by the common people (Prov. 29:2), whereas officials are elected as servants to the people. This was the foundational law for the nations of Israel and the original united States of America. The latter formed a Triune Republic with the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. This book serves as a handbook of a lawful foundation for any nation. Deuteronomy is so named because it records the second (deuce) giving of the Law. This makes it a duet of the Law. This shows that repetition with variation is the key to learning (Isa. 28:9-13; Luke 11:52). Learning from the failures of history is better than repeating them (Eccl. 1:9). National blessings or curses are dependent upon the people's obedience to God's word (Deut. 11:26-28; Ps. 33:12). The book has 34 chapters and 959 verses. King James Bible5 views -
6) The Book of Joshua
TommyB4JesusJOSHUA is the first book in a series of twelve historical books. These history books record the rise and fall of the commonwealth of Israel. The Bible is an history book of records before it is a religious book (1 John 5:7-13). It is the only precise and honest record of history. This book records the military conquests of Joshua and the distribution of the land amongst the tribes of Israel. The book contains 24 chapters and 658 verses. Joshua is the first book in the Scriptures named after a man. Joshua is synonymous with the name of Jesus (Acts 7:45; Heb. 4:8). Both names mean Jehovah is salvation. What Moses and the law could not do, Joshua did (John 1:17; Gal. 3:24; 5:4). What religion and the flesh cannot do, Jesus Christ can. Eternal life is only found in the Lord Jesus. His finished work us (Acts 4:12; 1 Cor. 15:1-4). The sixth book of the Bible establishes the number six as man's number (Rev. 13:18). Man was created on the sixth day and an embryo attaches itself to the womb on sixth day. Man's destruction was prophesied in Genesis 6:6, while man's hope is given in Romans 6:6. Usually six men carry a coffin before a man is buried six feet down. Six is obviously man's number and this mathematical preciseness is only found in the King James Bible. Spiritually, the book reveals the steps to a victorious spiritual life. Joshua was the first man ordered to follow a book (1:8). Spiritual success is only granted to the ones who follow the orders of the Book of God. The first step to the victorious Christian life is performed solely by God as illustrated in the walls of Jericho, but God expects the person to work also as one grows in grace. The common saying is God helps those who help themselves. Doctrinally, the book reveals some prophetic truths in regards to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus. King James Bible.9 views -
7) The Book of Judges
TommyB4JesusJUDGES is a sequel to the book of Joshua. It continues the history of the commonwealth of Israel. The title of the book is derived from the judgeship of thirteen judges, The judges ruled spasmodically because the people wavered between personal opinion or public policy and the laws of God for the authority of the land. The book reveals the principle of human collapse. Everything tends to degenerate:unless an outside influence intervenes. Man is hopeless unless the Lord God intervenes and regenerates man. The policies of the people in the book were based upon the situation ethics of secular humanism (Jud. 17:6; 21:25). Apostasy, apathy, and anarchy were the fruit. When humanistic judges rule a nation, absurd behavior will occur as recorded in this book. Everyone should do right in the eyes of the Lord God (Deut. 13:18; Prov. 14:12; 16:25). The seven recorded apostasies in the book resulted in seven periods of slavery and tribute to seven nations (Prove 12:24). Each apostasy began when the people rejected the authority of God's word. When a church, family, or nation rejects the inspired words of God, apostasy and anarchy will ensue (Ezek. 33:30-33; 2 Tim. 4:2-4; Rev. 3:14-22). Apostasy and anarchy will be worldwide prior to the Second Coming of Christ (2 Thess. 2:3-4). God's grace delivered the commonwealth of Israel seven times in the 21 chapters and 618 verses. 8) The Book of Ruth
TommyB4JesusRUTH is one of two books in the Bible named after a woman. Ruth became a proselyte of Judaism during the times of the judges (Acts 2:10; Eph. 2:12). She fulfilled the will of God as a virtuous woman during a time of national apostasy. Ruth demonstrated the true act of cleaving in regards to marriage and religion (Gen. 2:24). She followed the common law principle of a marriage coverture. The marriage of Boaz and Ruth pictures the Lord Jesus and the Bride of Christ (Eph. 5:31-32). God's grace toward Ruth was evident by placing her in the lineage of the Messiah through the house of David and this established the monarchy of the Lord Jesus within the tribe of Judah. The book contains 4 chapters and 85 verses. King James Bible.2 views -
9) The Book of 1st Samuel
TommyB4JesusFIRST SAMUEL is the first book in a series of six books that deal with kings and kingdoms. This book records the degeneration of the commonwealth of Israel from a theocratic republic to a monarchy. Samuel protested the sinful decision to establish a monarchy, but God allowed the foolish decision of the people to stand (1 Sam. 8; Jer. 11:6-10). The Bible records much information regarding governments. There are two basic types of governments. One is a government that controls the people, and the other is the people who control the government and its officials. The latter was established by the law ofMoses in the book of Deuteronomy. The proper purpose of human government is limited to inhibiting and penalizing the destructive acts of criminals (Rom. 13:1-7). Unjust governments of tyrants are social evils controlled by Satan (Matt. 4:8-9). Governments are meant to protect the good and punish the evil. All creative acts of liberty are to be retained by the people who act freely, voluntarily, and privately without hindrance, interference, or limitations from governmental regulations. Government officials are the servants of the people (Esther 10:3; Prov. 29:2). King Saul demonstrated the actions ofa tyrant who had absolute power. Saul is a doctrinal picture of the Antichrist who precedes the kingdom of Jesus Christ. The main doctrine of the Bible is the reign of the Lord Jesus Christ on David's throne (Isa. 2:1-5; Luke This book contains 31 chapters and 810 verses. King James Bible.5 views -
10) The Book of 2nd Samuel
TommyB4JesusSECOND SAMUEL is devoted to the historical record of the monarchy of David over the nation of Israel. The book records King David's rise to power, his capture and establishment of Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel, his desire and preparation in building the temple, the Davidic Covenant and its picture of the future reign of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the sorrows in a royal family. The book contains 24 chapters and 695 inspired verses of the kingdom of David. The end of 1 Samuel and this book appear to have been written by Nathan the prophet and Gad the seer ( 1 Chron. 29:29 ).
