Here is a track from the unfortunately not live, but playback performances at the Sopot Festival in Poland in 1990. These are the only shows I can trace featuring Betsi Miller fronting the band, which is a great shame. The song - Only One Word - had modest success around the world, but deserved more recognition. A truly great shame, as like 3 or 4 of the songs on the album - 1234 - it is a wonderful pop song. This is the 1990 Official Music Video for the song "Heaven Give Me Words", by the Betsi Miller fronted incarnation of Propaganda, taken from the album 1234. Written by Howard Jones, apart from Betsi, the band featured two ex members of Simple Minds - Derek Forbes and Brian McGee - on this song, and the whole album. To me it is a great pop/electronica album, with this lovely song one of many highlights. Unfortunately Betsi decided to duck out of music immediately afterwards, concentrating on family life. I can find no videos featuring her live, although the band did tour for a while, but there are a few songs from a televised, but not live show, in Poland, which I will be uploading soon. A Live Performance of the Propaganda song "Dream Within A Dream", originally on the wonderful album "A Secret Wish" in 1985. This superb version from 2011 has Suzanne only doing vocal duties, with Claudia having a well deserved stage break for one song. Yet another track from the 2002, Untitled Unreleased Album by Propaganda. This is a wonderful, otherwise unavailable version of the fabulous "Dream Within A Dream", which sounds markedly different from the officially released versions. Susanne with all the vocals - and what a fantastic beat. I think I still have a couple of songs from this album to upload, so will get to them in due course. This is "Beast Within", which is Track 4 on the "Untitled Unreleased Album" from Propaganda in 2002. This features vocals from both Susanne and Claudia, and is again just a great pop tune that is almost unknown. No official lyrics available anywhere, but will add my own in the next few days. Another song from the wonderful show at The Scala in London 2011 - this is Dr Mabuse, and features, apart from Claudia - two other members of Propaganda - Susanne Freytag and Ralf Dörper. This song was their first single in 1984, and then was obviously included on the totally brilliant "A Secret Wish" album in 1985. Such a great night was had here, and although I never got to see them live first time around, this concert definitely made up for that. Thought I would feature some tracks from the great Greenpeace concert at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam on 26th October 1985. Five bands performed that night - Propaganda - OMD - INXS - Mai Tai and the Frank Boeijen Groep. Track two from the night. Propaganda now - and this is the song "Frozen Faces". This song comes from the "B" sde of the single "p:Machinery" - both 7" and 12" - and also from the remix albums "Wishful Thinking" and "Outside World" A great tune, and this is a fabulous live version. Brilliant playing from the band - and don't the ladies look and sound just ace.
