Demonstrating the RCBS Collet Style Bullet Puller
Kentucky Range TimeWe all make the occasional loading mistakes, or have unfired rounds from doing test ladders. Pulling these bullets using a kenetic style puller can damage the rim on brass cases and sometimes break loose the. priming materials in the primer making them unusable. The RCBS Collet puller allows you to effortlessly pull bullets using the leverage of your loading press. Bullets can be removed with little to no marking or damage to the bullets, no spilled powder, no damaged primers and most importantly, no damage to the rim of the case. Cases only need resized for the depth the bullet was seated, then belled and its ready to load again. You can even remove the decapping pin and do all this with the primer and powder still in the case if desired. The collets are caliber specific and sold separately, so you only buy the sizes you need which keeps costs low.186 views 7 comments -
Reloading Tip... Sourcing Low Cost "2nd" Bullets for Plinking and Blasting!
Kentucky Range TimeSo, a lot of new loaders don't yet know that all manufacturers make small mistakes when making their bullets. Sever mistakes are culled and recycled for safety but minor weight variations, cosmetics blemishes and cannelures rolled in the wrong spot often leave bullets that fall short of the QC standards but are perfectly fine to reload and shoot. These bullets are often sold as factory 2nds or blemished at discounted prices as much as 50% or more off the normal retail price. Many on-line retailers offer these specials. The types, sizes and quantities available are very inconsistent as that depends on the mistake the factories are making but its definitely worth checking occasionally. In this video were going to be looking at the Midway USA sight. I've found they typically will have the largest selections of factory 2nd bullets.174 views -
