Forgotten No More
InYourCornerWe just returned from a life-changing month of ministry in the Dominican Republic, and many friends have asked what we experienced there. Instead of just telling you, we want to show you. That’s why we’re airing our documentary, Forgotten No More, so you can see firsthand why our hearts are so deeply invested in this mission. Our work took us into the bateyes—small villages where Haitian sugar cane cutters and their families endure unimaginable poverty. These communities, hidden beyond the resorts and bustling cities of the DR, starkly contrast the breathtaking landscapes surrounding them. John Powers, a director of missions in the Dominican Republic, paints a vivid picture of this reality: "As you leave the cities and resorts, you drive through endless fields of majestic sugar cane, stretching across valleys framed by stunning mountains. The views are so beautiful they take your breath away. But turn away from the sunlit fields and palm trees, and your breath is taken in an entirely different way—by the sight of crushing poverty. A Haitian sugar cane village appears, a cluster of shacks on dirt roads, where children run barefoot, some without even the dignity of clothing." This is why we go. This is why we serve. And this is why we invite you to witness Forgotten No More.102 views -
Hope Dealer
InYourCornerWhen people in a rural middle Tennessee community decided “enough is enough” as drugs and alcohol took a heavy toll, they united with the determination that “Hope Lives in Hohenwald.” Tired of family and friends dying and lives shattered from the effects of drugs and alcohol, pastors and ministries from Hohenwald and Lewis County churches came together as partners with local law enforcement. They prayed. They were unified. They held a rally in the fall of 2021, walking through downtown Hohenwald. It has led to extraordinary changes. This is the miraculous story of how a community of believers stepped up to fight and won the war on drugs, drawing many to Jesus Christ!131 views
