Now-deceased filmmaker Aaron Russo (Trading Places, amongst others) relates that in a conversation with David Rockefeller, the latter told him him that his Rockefeller Foundation funded the early feminists of the 1960s and 70s with the aim in view to fracture the American nuclear family and pick up the spoils therefrom. One of those was the opportunity to double the number of taxpayers. Another was that women looked to the state as father figure.
