Taken from the album - Truth & Beauty from 1993, this is former Icicle Works frontman Ian McNabb, with the song "Great Dreams Of Heaven" This was his first solo release since leaving the band, and his lyrics are as biting as ever. An early live performance of the song "Love Is A Wonderful Colour" from 1983 by "The Icicle Works". This version has very different lyrics to the version released on the 1984 album. This concert was filmed and shown on UKTV in 1984, and has my favourite band line up. Truly a massively underrated threesome, with the great Ian McNabb on vocals, guitar and keyboard - the excellent Chris Layhe on bass, and the totally stupendous Chris Sharrock on drums.
