John Lennon's last musical performance, April 18, 1975 #johnlennon #beatles
Things that Make Me SmileThis is not my original video, I just wanted to share. I've found a few of the last public appearances of John Lennon, starting with onstage with Elton John in Madison Square Garden, November 28, 1974, December 9, 1974 Monday Night Football, Salute to Sir Lew, April 18, 1975 and then there was an interview from July 27, 1976 when John received a U.S. green card after a long battle. This strongly attaches me to the futility of life, the futility of putting all our eggs in this basket we all ride in. Life is short, at most, maybe 120 years at the most extreme, but for most of us, maybe 80 on average. Someone said a bird could carry a grain of sand from the earth every million years until the entire earth is gone and eternity wouldn't even have a dent in it--eternity is forever, without end, and I think for a normal human, it's really beyond our ability to reason. So hopefully, God did finally reach John before his sudden death. Sudden death could reach any of us any time--we are one heartbeat away. Who do you trust?25 views -

John Lennon Receives Green Card, July 27, 1976 #beatles #johnlennon
Things that Make Me SmileThis may be John Lennon's last public appearance. He showed up on Monday Night Football on December 9, 1974 after playing a benefit concert a few months earlier (his last musical performance), did the weather at a Philadelphia news station in the summer of 1975, and this in the summer of 1976.16 views -
John Lennon on Monday Night Football, Dec 9, 1974 #beatles #mondaynightfootball #Johnlennon
Things that Make Me SmileOne of John Lennon's last public appearances to the best of my knowledge. He played a benefit concert a few months before this, his last performance, then this, then he did the weather at a Philadelphia news station and his appearance on TV when he was granted permanent status in the U.S.22 views 1 comment -
No Time for Tears -- Alice Cooper #Alicecooper
Things that Make Me SmileI made this for myself--hence, the photo of Hillary playing the ice bucket challenge. Maybe I'll put together a better photo montage later. I created my own personal videos and make my own personal playlists so when I'm traveling across the country, I can just bring them up on my phone. But Alice is fantastic at ballads. I find some of his darker stuff funny, but the beheadings at his concerts? Not my cup of tea--a bit too over the edge for me. I wish he'd do a few ballads at his concert--this one in particular, or "You and Me". I'm a fan, but not nuts. My best friend loves Alice and I only went to see him so my friend wouldn't have to do it by himself. I've since become a fan--he's a funny, interesting, very kind Christian man--the violence in his music might put doubts in one's mind about the latter. I often wonder about some of the lyrics. But I like Alice. He was always nice to me, except that one time he tried to kill me for sport.12 views 2 comments
