Manny Charlton, a Scottish guitarist from Dunfermline, co-founded Nazareth in 1968 with Dan McCafferty, Pete Agnew, and Darrell Sweet, playing lead guitar on 17 albums from Nazareth (1971) to Snakes 'n' Ladders (1989), including Hair of the Dog (1975) where he produced and shaped their bluesy hard rock sound.
