Christmas Messages

Light & Darkness. What do you do when your life is filled with darkness and you are facing the unknown? What about moral darkness? What if one is living in a way that God is not pleased with? Spiritual darkness? Where their view of God is dark, they simply cannot see Him or know him. Jesus came to be the light so that we may see God, live rightly, and follow him into the unknown. we trust our unknown future to a known God. Jesus is the light that shines in any darkness!

Life is a series of 'ups & downs', 'highs and lows', but, "this too shall pass". Hopelessness is a difficult burden to bear. In the Fist Christmas we see a series of high hopes & dashed hopes. There was a cycle of lows and highs. our hopes can often be dashed. What then? Is it all lost? What do we do? as Christians we have the God of hope looking after us. he brings us through the valley's of darkness to the other side. The steady hope we have is HIM and His Word - the scriptures which brings us strong comfort when our hopes are dashed. But, to hope again is a decision we must make, and we must make that decision by faith.

That was the question the Wise men from the East asked. If you can find Jesus what would you do? What would you say? What would you ask him? How would you react? oh but those are not the questions to ask, the biggest question in all of life, the most important question every human being ever born must ask is, "where can I find Him?" We'll give you that answer in today's Christmas message!

The Lord Jesus is indeed glorious! Because of who He is, we have answers for life, whether in disappointment, distress, discouragement or difficult decisions. As we enter Christmas week, let's consider how great He is and the fact that we have fellowship with the Mighty God, Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace.

What better day to celebrate the birth of Jesus than on Christmas Day that lands on a Sunday! God’s gift to the world was His Son. Not everyone has received His gift; but praise God this church has! Let's look at what gifts these wise men gave to our Lord! He gave us His Son – they give Him their life, their gold, their frankincense, and their myrrh. Very precious and rare then, and even today. The Cradle - Immanuel, God with us. The Babe in a manger, what amazing grace! The Cross – Jesus, saving us from our sins! The Crown – His Kingship! He has come to rule in our hearts as King, and one day He will come and rule in Jerusalem and be King over the whole earth.
