Sonic X Anime Series Playlist

The episode begins at Area 99 showing a new robot made to combat Dr. Eggman known as Project Beetle. They are hoping that it will be a success. Meanwhile in the city, Topaz and Rouge are near a jewelry store. Rouge is in awe of all the gems that are in there, but Topaz spooks her by telling nearby people to call the police as there is a thief about. Nelson then pulls up in his limo and enters the store. The owners are happy to see him. He tells them that he's looking for an anniversary gift for Lindsey. He then notices a sheet covering something on a stand. The man unveils the sheet, revealing the purple Chaos Emerald. After the store owners make it into a ring and Nelson leaves the store, Rouge and Topaz come up with a plan. At Chris' house, Nelson calls and asks to have Chris and his friends come to Filmdom City so they can see the surprise he'll spring on Lindsey. Tails inserts three of the four Chaos Emeralds they have acquired so far in a compartment on a side of the X Tornado. Chris asks him how many more they need. Tails says that with their four, and the one Knuckles got from Hawk, they need two more. He then says that they need to take consideration when adding a new Chaos Emerald to their collection. The four Emeralds they have are fine due to the adaptation they have with one another, but when a new Emerald gets added, they could potentially create an electromagnetic reaction, causing major havoc. Just as the X Tornado is about takes off, Sonic hops onto the rear and joins with his friends. Upon arrival, Chris introduces Nelson to the rest of his friends and Mr. Stewart, to everyone's shock, had followed them there. Sonic then notices the Chaos Emerald he has is reacting to something. Nelson then explains that he intends to disguise himself as Lindsey's co-star in the movie she's working on, and when she approaches him and realizes it's him, he'll reveal the Emerald to her, then Chris, Sonic's friends, and the mansion staff will spring the surprise celebration, leaving Lindsey in awe and gratitude. When Nelson shows them the Emerald in the case, the electromagnetic reaction between Nelson's Emerald and Sonic's Emerald goes off. It shatters light bulbs around the room. Knuckles just happened to be nearby and his Emerald detects the reaction. Even the attention of Dr. Eggman is brought about to Filmdom City. Back inside, Nelson closes the box that has the Emerald and the reaction is stopped. Tanaka reminds Nelson that the filming is almost ready and that he should get changed. On the set, Knuckles arrives, needing the Chaos Emerald, but Sonic replies that they cannot spoil their wedding anniversary. The take on the set begins rolling, but midway through the scene, as Lindsey is approaching Nelson as he planned so he could present the ring to her, Nelson accidentally trips, causing the Chaos Emerald to fall out of the box and the same electromagnetic reaction happens again, only this time Knuckles' Emerald is also involved, and Lindsey removes Nelson's wig out of suspicion because of it. Dr. Eggman arrives and sees light sprouting upward from the set. Lights and equipment all over are being broken due to the reaction caused by the three Emeralds. Tanaka puts the Emerald back in the box and shuts it and everything stops. Lindsey asks what exactly Nelson is doing, upset at how he ruined the sound stage and possibly the movie she's working on. They begin arguing, with Chuck unable to break it up, when suddenly the Egg Fort II breaks into the set. Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe run towards the Thorndykes, ordering them to give them the Chaos Emerald. Eggman chases Sonic across a dinosaur scene, Decoe chases Knuckles across an outer space scene, and Bocoe chases Tails across an ocean scene. While all the confusion is happening, Rouge snatches the Emerald, to Nelson and Lindsey's shock and surprise. Nelson demands it back, but unexpectedly, Eggman then takes it out of her hand. Rouge, Topaz and Eggman begin fighting over the Chaos Emerald. Eggman then lunges his Egg Mobile forward and brings it to a sudden stop, throwing Rouge and Topaz off and on to Mr. Stewart, knocking all three into a water tank. Sonic and Knuckles then tell Eggman to hand over the Emerald or else. Eggman then dispatches E-74 Weazo to take care of them. Tanaka then tells Weazo to leave the Thorndykes alone and to come fight him. Weazo easily whacks him away. Knuckles wonders what's wrong with Tanaka. Sonic replies, "Too many kung fu movies." As Weazo charges towards the frightened family, it suddenly stops as a result of Knuckles grabbing Weazo's tail, but the robot throws him into some crates. Sonic then knocks the robot over with his Spin Attack, and tells the robot to come after him. Weazo seemingly corners Sonic with its devastating flamethrower weapons. Knuckles follows them and sees them behind a glass wall filled with water. Sonic jumps, allowing Knuckles to break the glass, getting Weazo washed out, disabling its flamethrower and shorting it out, which gives the two of them a chance to finally defeat him. Eggman then escapes with the Chaos Emerald. The Thorndykes' wedding anniversary didn't go as planned, but it was still, with a few exceptions, a happy one. Rouge, however, is disappointed because Sonic has four Chaos Emeralds, Eggman has one, Knuckles has one, and she and Topaz don't have any. Rouge is now determined to get the Emeralds, regardless of other circumstances.

The episode starts with Frances, Danny, and Helen playing basketball while Mr. Stewart informs the government that Chris is missing. Chris is waiting for Sonic and Tails in Tails' workshop, but the heroic duo doesn't show up as he still intends to look for Knuckles and give him the white Chaos Emerald. However, Sonic and Tails encounter Knuckles in Mystic Ruins standing beside Dr. Eggman, who is lying unconsciously on the ground. Sonic questions Knuckles how Eggman came into this state with Knuckles responding that he had found Eggman this way. Tails grabs a stick and starts poking Eggman until he surprisingly wakes up. Sonic asks what happened to Eggman, with the doctor responding that Chaos double-crossed him and he wants to utilize the power of the Chaos Emeralds for his own ambitions. Knuckles begins to threaten the doctor when Sonic tells Knuckles to calm down. Eggman snapped at Knuckles' actions before being escorted away by Decoe and Bocoe on a balloon. Knuckles proceeds to tell Sonic and Tails that if Chaos gets a hold of the last Emerald, he will become too powerful. Suddenly, a red orb transports Sonic and Knuckles back into the past of Angel Island, where they witnessed Tikal trying to stop Pachacamac from invading the Master Emerald's shrine. Despite this, Pachacamac orders his clan to strike. They ran over the defenseless Tikal and some Chao down to the ground. Chaos, witnessing all of what has been happening by Pachacamac and his clan, appears as they confusedly encounter him. Then, Chaos absorbs the power of the Emeralds' to destroy Pachacamac and his clan, which is their punishment for violating the Altar and harming the Chao he's sworn to protect. After that, the Master Emerald seals Chaos inside itself, instantly. Sonic and Knuckles rushed to Tikal's aid with her being sad of her father not listening to her. The three of them walked together to the top of the Master Emerald's shrine with Tikal saying a prayer. Sonic and Knuckles eventually are transported to the present with Tails. Chris calls out to the heroes, running to them while holding out the seventh Chaos Emerald. Knuckles hesitates, making Chris slow down. Suddenly, a burst of water appears and forms into a whirlpool, sucking Chris in. Sonic jumps in to save Chris while Knuckles punches the vortex, splitting it into halves. Despite this, the Chaos Emeralds are dropped and a hole in the ground opens up with the wave of water appearing from it and the Chaos Emeralds successfully fall into the water before disappearing. Believing that the water was Chaos, Knuckles begins to lose hope. Now that all seven Chaos Emeralds are in Chaos' possession, Chaos would be too powerful to defeat. Sonic, with a determined look in his face, says that they'll need to try defeating it somehow. Not far behind, a colony of Chao appears. In the relatively peaceful Station Square, the civilians are enjoying their daily activities when suddenly they hear a rumble underground. While Sam Speed warns an over-speeding driver, columns of water suddenly rocket upwards from all of the drain sewers like geysers while more water emerges from buildings and roads, creating fissure cracks. While Sam escorts civilians to a nearby safe building, a tsunami forms, washing Sam away. One trail of water forms a face, the powerful deity of Perfect Chaos. Chuck, Ella, Cream and Cheese proceed to evacuate to some mountains as Mister Tanaka remains behind to wait for Chris, being a skilled swimmer so that he can handle the flood waters when they come, while Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Chris take off to the flooded and ruined Station Square. Witnessing the events from the White House with Topaz and Rouge, the President authorizes G.U.N. to take down Perfect Chaos. The government attempts to shoot down Chaos with choppers, but their weapons prove no match against the water monster's watery skin. Perfect Chaos launches the missiles back at their sources, destroying the choppers, but the pilots survive. Meanwhile, Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe launch the Egg Carrier 2 in hopes of defeating Perfect Chaos as revenge for betraying Eggman. Sonic attempts to take down Perfect Chaos but serves no match to it. Perfect Chaos creates another tidal wave to drown Sonic, only for the blue hedgehog to survive by surfing on a wooden plank. Chris rescues him back on the X-Tornado. Chaos then tries to shoot down the X-Tornado using spears of water, but the X-Tornado dodges them and flies past Chaos. Looking upwards, Sonic notices the Egg Carrier 2, as Eggman is attempting to defeat Chaos with it, but it gets shot down with a single powerful laser from the deity. Suddenly, a bright light blinds Chaos and the X-Tornado's passengers as the X-Tornado lands on a piece of highway by the light. The light reveals itself as Tikal who has arrived from the past who also wishes to stop the water monstrosity. Sonic suspects that Eggman initially somehow figured a way to revive Chaos so he can use it to take over the world. Perfect Chaos then spits out the Chaos Emeralds, now drained of their power. Tikal states that Perfect Chaos is only full of hatred and sadness and suggests sealing him back in the Master Emerald before it is too late, but Sonic replies that it will not work, explaining that if they do that, the same thing will only happen again and they have to solve the problem once and for all. Tails, Amy, Cream, Knuckles, Chris, Big, and Eggman find the Chaos Emeralds and meet up with Sonic. The crowd cheers the blue hedgehog on; suddenly, the Chaos Emeralds started to glow and rise up. Their powers transform Sonic into Super Sonic, much to the surprise of Tikal, who thought that the Emeralds could only be awakened by hate and anger. Tails and Knuckles reply that there are other more powerful feelings such as caring and friendship. With his new powers, Super Sonic proceeds to fight with Perfect Chaos. Underestimating Super Sonic, Perfect Chaos tries to defend itself with its shield, but Super Sonic shatters it. Perfect Chaos then tries using its water tentacles, but they shatter against Super Sonic in his Super Spin Attack like ice. Growing desperate, Perfect Chaos tries its laser breath, but when Super Sonic easily dodges it, Perfect Chaos turns it on Chris and the others. Super Sonic arrives to the scene and blocks the laser from harming his friends, which only provokes him into redoubling his attacks. With one final punch with stopping the laser and charging into Perfect Chaos by plunging right down its throat, making it swallow its own attack, Super Sonic defeats the water monstrosity for good, but Chaos 0 emerges from a water puddle; he is not defeated entirely yet and is still alive. A Chao colony arrives, much in the favor of Chaos, and Tikal tells Chaos the truth that the Chao are living in Earth at peace before they both disappear together. While the heroes are happy with the resolution, they realized that Dr. Eggman has left the scene.

With the help of Chris' new program, the Blue Typhoon spots a Chaos Emerald on Planet Breezy. Followed by Dr. Eggman's Crimson Egg, the Blue Typhoon approaches Planet Breezy, but it is attacked by a Metarex robot and it crashes on the planet. Sonic, Chris, Knuckles and Cosmo decide to go get the Chaos Emerald with the X Tornado because the Blue Typhoon is damaged. Rouge is also on her way for getting the Emerald before Sonic. Everybody has to fight the Metarex before reaching an ice palace, where the emerald is supposed to be located. Sonic's group find it, but it is sealed in a solid ice block. A more powerful Metarex appears, the Metarex Crystal, which takes power from the emerald to become even stronger. A fight engages and Cosmo finds the way to defeat it with a laser beam. The laser from the Blue Typhoon defeats the Metarex Crystal. The Planet Egg gets trashed into the planet and the snow disappears. Knuckles finds the Chaos Emerald but before he gets it, Rouge steals it. However, Tails discovers that the Emerald was a fake the Metarex used to throw them off track (with Knuckles commenting on how Rouge will react when she finds out about the phony Emerald). Rouge soon discovers the Emerald is not real and it crumbles in her hand and she becomes angry.

On the Blue Typhoon's bridge, the ship is under attack by Metarex Fighters. Cream warns of the impending attack, and Tails instructs Chris and Sonic to disperse the missiles and launch a counter-attack. Chris confirms and asks Cosmo to take over his station. In the hangar, Chris briefs Sonic on the plan: fend off the Metarex attack and retaliate. Sonic is enthusiastic, and they share a confident smile. In space, the Metarex Fighters launch missiles, but the Typhoon ejects star, moon, and planet-shaped particles that detonate the missiles in mid-air, allowing the ship to escape. Back on the bridge, Amy expresses a bad feeling, and Cosmo agrees, noting the increasing violence of the Metarex attacks. Amy senses something else is wrong but can't pinpoint it. In space, Chris's ship takes off. Suddenly, the Typhoon is struck by an unseen force. On the bridge, Tails is confused, and Amy reports nothing on the radar. In space, it's revealed that Yellow Zelkova is clinging to the bottom of the Typhoon, having caused the impact. He laughs, declaring their time is up. After solving the riddle by answering a cemetery, Zelkova told them that he will take the opportunity to teach Sonic's friends that the molten planet will become their grave by beginning to punch their ship towards the edge of the cliff down into a collecting lake of lava below. Sonic attempts to stop him, but is unable to break through the shield. Picking up where they left off, Zelkova and Knuckles get into a fierce battle, during which Knuckles smashes Zelkova's knee and breaks the spikes on one of his gloves. Using a cable from the Blue Typhoon, Sonic and the others channel lightning to overload Zelkova's shield. Zelkova's mechanical outer body is destroyed, revealing his flesh form beneath. Zelkova attacks, but is knocked into a nearby lava pit by Knuckles. Pale Bayleaf informs Eggman of Zelkova's demise, mocking the failure of his shield. Shadow and Rouge find a fake Chaos Emerald at the top of the tree, but they hear groaning from its base. They find Leon (from the Resistance in Episode 68) being consumed by the tree, saying that the Metarex betrayed them. He also gives Shadow a memory chip and says it's not too late to destroy the Metarex before succumbing to the effects and dying shortly afterwards.

On Earth, Danny, Frances and Helen try to unlock the password to activate the teleport gate, but they can't because only Chris can activate the teleport gate. Meanwhile, Sonic and the others find a meteor in space while searching for the Chaos Emeralds. Tails pulls it in, and they find it to actually be a space ship. Inside, small Chao-like creatures called Marmolims are discovered and it is revealed that they have the Blue Chaos Emerald. At first, the aliens refuse to hand it over, but then they eventually give it. Sonic and his friends take the Marmolims back to their Homeworld, the Planet Marmolim, a place with magic varying from fortune-telling to love spells. There, Sonic destroys a diseased part of the planet that encased the Planet Egg. Amy is glad that to hear that Marmolims have magic, so she tries to make the most of having her fortune told and planning to infatuate Sonic with her by a spell. However, it ends up backfiring, because Tails and Cosmo triggered it instead at the end of the episode, leading to the two embracing while watching the moon. The episode ends with the new lovers embracing while Amy yells in anger because her plan to capture Sonic has failed.

The episode opens up with Rouge manipulating Bokkun on his pendant, making him serves orange juice while she takes a shower. Elsewhere on the ship, Dr. Eggman and his forces come across a group of humans battling the armada of Pale Bayleaf. The humans were completely overpowered with the Metarex ships, and the attacks were also homed at him too, and as a result, he sent Shadow to take care of them. Shadow then launched himself at the Metarex, destroying their battleships and flipping the table on them, until a Metarex ship came to Molly's ship to attack, but was quickly destroyed by Shadow. Molly looked at Shadow before he left, and during that time, the Metarex battleships were fleeing. After that, Molly contacted Eggman to thank him for his help, while Decoe and Bocoe were whispering about Molly's beauty in which they were quickly got pound by Eggman. On their way to Cascade, Molly explained the events that lead to the planet as it is now, and their continuous efforts to bring it back as it was. Meanwhile, Eggman ordered Shadow who was aboard the Crimson Egg to get the Chaos Emerald on this planet without Rouge's interference, however, he was distracted by her. Later, at one of the colonies inside Cascade, Shadow was recalling memories from the last major battle against the Metarex until getting caught in Molly's questions. Shadow while kept dismissing her, Molly expressed her respect and thanked him for the saving, and remarked his similar to the Black Wind in which she explained the legend to him. Finally, Shadow declined that and moved away from her and Rouge, much to Rouge's discontent. Meanwhile, Eggman continued to receive honors following his assistance during the confrontation with Metarex. But unfortunately caught in a vortex of criticism after informing the soldiers that he cannot stay. Molly then came in time to calm things down. Molly summoned one of the soldiers, Leon, to see if he has found a Chaos Emerald lately. Although he did not know of it at first, he pointed that recently a precious stone fell on the planet and has been kept in a laboratory, after Rouge explained the case to him. Leo then entrusted Molly a security key so she can bring him a floppy disk. Molly, Shadow and Rouge left, while Leon remains at the base, unusually anxious after leading her to a trap. Along the way to the lab, Molly while in her plane was questioned by Rouge about what lead up to the planet being ruined. In which she replied that the planet was rich and powerful until the Metarex's invasion. She then looked at Shadow while he was running alongside their ship and wished if she could have a similar power to the Metarex to protect her planet. After making it to the lab, Shadow retrieved the Emerald while Molly was going to recover the disk to Leon. But instead of it, she found a dynamite and it exploded. With his speed, Shadow warped Molly and Rouge to another distant, then Molly was wondering to why Leon tried to kill her. A fleet of Metarex vessels then appeared on the scene. Shadow tried to call the doctor after exploring Leon's intention to give Eggman to the Metarex, but without success, all communications are cut. At the soldiers base, Leon finishes a conversation with one of Metarex kings. But he is surprised by Eggman who had seen very clearly in the plans of it. Leon had indeed intended to betray him as Shadow and Rouge said, and in exchange to the Metarex, so Pale Bayleaf would to spare the last survivors of Leon's planet. Leon tries to hold the doctor, who still managed to escape through Decoe and Bocoe, which retrieved it in one of his giant robots. Meanwhile, Molly decided to return to the base, despite warnings from Shadow and Rouge for this useless sacrifice. Shadow however joined the fight. For his part, Robotnik gives a lesson to the team of fighters trying to capture it. The fleet of the Metarex having arrived, however instead of lending a hand to Leon and his comrades, they break the contract and decide to abandon them. Molly then arrived aboard her ship and tried to rally her old friends. But they dismissed her and preferred to give up and try to rally the strongest to avoid their death. Broken, Molly remained aboard her ship while Shadow tried to comfort her. Molly however denied this reality, and rushed toward the flagship before Shadow can counter. Seeing her last smile, Shadow removed the Limiters from his wrists and flew through the Metarex's mother ship lasers and destroyed the whole fleet while Rouge was observing the scene. At the end of it all, Shadow and Rouge looked out into a sunset in front of Molly's grave and Shadow gave the Chaos Emerald to Rouge, showing that he finally trusts her with an Emerald and tells her to give it to "Eggman" while he was walking away. Despite the damage, Pale Bayleaf survived, and communicated with Eggman.

The episode begins showing a castle in the middle of a lake. The camera explores the different rooms of the castle, and faint laughter can be heard. The laughing is suddenly interrupted by Sonic yawning. Chris' mother Lindsey is shooting a new movie and Sonic and friends are there, too. The movie director tells Lindsey that he would like to do the take over again. Ella appears by Chris, Amy, and Tails all dressed up as a maid for a part in the movie. Lindsey redoes the take and meets over with Chris, Amy, and Tails. She asks if his friends are there, not knowing that Amy and Tails were the ones she was mentioning. Tails exclaims that they were right there and Lindsey mistakes Tails as a person dressed up to look just like a fox. Tails asks if Chris told her that they were really animals, but Chris responds that his mother is clueless sometimes. Chris asks where Cream and Cheese is when the director says, "Rewind that!". On the camera screen of the scene shows two little heads poking over a bush: Cream and Cheese. The camera man says that they can just digitally edit them out. The director agrees and tells them to go to the next scene. Chris lets out a sigh of relief as he realizes that they have barely dodged a bullet. Meanwhile, Sonic is exploring the interior of the castle. The filming crew are then ready to shoot the next scene. It goes into the camera's point of view as it follows Lindsey, who is running down the courtyard sidewalk. The camera hits something, which turns out to be a small statue of a Talisman on a pedestal. The camera man decides to move it out of the way but as he touches it, something starts to happen in the area of the castle were Sonic is. The camera man then changes his minds, and instead moves the camera behind the Talisman. Everything turns back to normal with Sonic, though he does show concern. As the scene gets shot again, the Talisman is still in the way, this time getting right in the middle of the shot. The camera man picks up the Talisman and puts it on the ground. Once again, something strange happens to Sonic, but when he looks around the room, he sees nothing. That night, the crew does a scene in a dark corridor. As Lindsey passes a wall covered in strange symbols, the sound man says he hears a noise. Meanwhile, Sonic looks out over the courtyard from an upstairs window. The sound man says he can't find anything wrong on his end, and says they should shoot the scene again. They do, but the noise appears again. The director say decides to call it a day. In Lindsey's room, Lindsey is powdering her face when Chris arrived to say goodnight. Lindsey in turn gives him a big hug, and tells him to have sweet dreams and Chris leaves. Meanwhile, the sound man walks down the corridor with a sound detecting device, looking for the noise. Chris arrives in his room, but finds only Tails, who is on a bed reading. When he asks Tails, who is the only other person there, where everybody is, he replies that the girls (meaning Amy, Cream, and Cheese) are in Ella's room for a sleepover. Chris then asks about Sonic, and Tails says he's probably still exploring the castle and the grounds. Chris hopes Sonic doesn't get into any trouble, but as always with Sonic, trouble is not far behind. Outside in the courtyard, Sonic is walking around and sees the pedestal that the Talisman statue had been on. He goes up to it, and then looks down and sees the Talisman that the camera man had put on the ground earlier that day. He picks it up and examines it. With the sound man, he is still walking the corridor when he finally finds the area where the noise was coming from. It was coming from the wall with the strange symbols on it. As he listens, the sound becomes clear: laughter. Behind him, a few ghosts appear, but disappear when he looks behind him. Lindsey, in her room, hears the laughter, and calls Chris' name, thinking that it was him. When it continues, she gets angry and stands up to face the door, saying that the "little joke" had gone far enough. The laughing stops, so she sits back down, and sees her reflection in the mirror. But it's not her reflection. It has her hair, shirt, and necklace, but instead of her normal face, the face is pure white, with large, circular red and yellow eyes and black pupils. Its mouth is open in a large grin, showing large, sharp black teeth. In a deep voice, it greets her. Lindsey screams. Outside, Sonic looks at the Talisman. The one end of the Talisman has a crescent moon mark on it, and the other end has a sun mark on it. Back inside the castle, the crew is on a frantic search for Lindsey. Chris, Tails search outside, while Amy, Cream, Cheese and Ella search the inside. The four of them go down the hall with the strange symbols when Cheese hears something. Suddenly, the laughter from before starts. Ella finds the area where the laughter is coming from, and knocks on the wall, asking if Lindsey was there. Amy goes to get some help, but is stopped by a ghostly arm coming out of the wall. Suddenly, more ghostly arms surround them. The four of them scream. Sonic hears them scream and goes off to find them, still holding the talisman. Chris and Tails reach them, but find that Cream and Cheese are missing. Amy hangs onto Ella's hand, which is halfway out of the strange, symbolic wall. The ghost arms disappear into the wall, The three of them pull on Ella's arm, trying to free her, but it is no use. Ella's arm is sucked into the wall. Sonic then appears, asking what had happened. Amy explains that they had been looking for Chris' mother when ghosts attacked them. Sonic says he does not believe in ghosts, but then some of the ghosts' heads poke out of the wall. Sonic kicks the wall hard, breaking it and revealing a large, purple-pink wall. Ghost arms reach out of the wall and grab at them. Chris, Tails, and Amy run, and Sonic tries to attack the hands, but they turn intangible, so his kicks are useless. Suddenly, Tails is grabbed by the ghosts and pulled into the wall. Sonic yells at the ghosts to bring him back, but they go after him next. He jumps into the air to dodge, but the hands grab him as well. They pull him towards the wall and Sonic throws the Talisman to Chris. The pieces of the outer wall start to piece themselves back together. Sonic explains that the Talisman fell off a pedestal outside and that it may have something to do with what was happening. The wall then seals him off, completing the outer wall. Amy then angrily strikes the wall repeatedly with her Piko Piko Hammer, yelling at the ghosts to give Sonic back, but her attempts to break the wall are futile and she starts sobbing while Chris comforts her. The next morning, Amy and Chris find the pedestal Sonic told them about before he disappeared. Chris sees a script written on the top of the pedestal that says, "Appears under the moon. Disappears under the sun." He then hears wind, and then feels a draft coming from underneath the pedestal, and there may be a hidden passageway underneath it. Amy takes out her hammer and hits the left side of the pedestal, making it move to the side and revealing stairs going down. Amy decides to go down to rescue Sonic, but Chris stops her, saying it could be dangerous. Amy says she knows, and continues to go down the stairs. Chris follows her. Going down the stairs, Amy says that she thought Chris was scared. Chris admits he is scared, and asks Amy if she is. She says, "No", but then a drop of water from the ceiling drips onto her shoulder, causing her to freak out. The camera switches to where Sonic and the others who went missing laying on the ground unconscious, and behind them appears two small ghosts and King Boom Boo. Amy and Chris reach the bottom of the stairs, and Amy tells Chris that ghosts love it when they see people are scared, and to stay calm if they run into one. Chris says he will pretend like he doesn't notice them when the laughing starts again. They look around and see some ghosts flying towards them. They fly circles around them, and Amy grabs the Talisman and holds it up into the air. The ghosts freeze, then start flying away in a panic from the way they came. After they are gone, Chris realizes that they must be afraid of it. Amy, feeling much braver, charges after the ghosts, with Chris running to catch up with her. They come to another room and see the ghosts go down some more stairs and through a door. With the missing, Sonic wakes up and sees King Boom Boo standing there. Amy and Chris go through the door the ghost went through, but for safety, they hold out the statue in case there are ghosts around. The room is empty and dark, except for a little light coming in from a small window. Amy quietly starts calling Sonic's name and Sonic calls Amy and Chris's name. They look up and see Sonic on the ceiling, with Lindsey, Ella and Tails visible behind him. Sonic tells them that there isn't much time and to listen to him. King Boom Boo speaks in Sonic's voice, and he says he's always loved Amy and to put the Talisman on the window. Amy goes to put the window when the real Sonic yells at her to not put the Talisman on the window, for that is how the ghosts get their power. Amy reaches the window, and the deep-voiced Sonic tells her to put it with the moon side facing up. Chris says it may not be a good idea, but Amy says that Sonic knows what he's doing. Amy puts the Talisman on the window and Sonic (at his normal voice), yells for her to not to do it. The crescent moon on the Talisman glows, and in a flash of light, King Boom Boo appears with some of his ghosts. It is then revealed that it was he who pretended to be Sonic, and tricked Amy into putting the Talisman on the window. They laugh, and Amy attacks the ghosts. They disappear, making Amy go off balance. King Boom Boo then grabs her, making her drop her hammer. Amy struggles and a Boom enters her head, making her pass out. King Boom Boo puts her on the ground and Chris runs up to her. Amy suddenly wakes up, her eyes now black, red and yellow like a dragon fruit, while insects like bee, grasshopper, cockroach, fly, dragon fly, and her mouth in a large grin with black, sharp teeth like wolf, tiger, crocodile, shark, lion, snake and hyena. She gets up, like a Japanese doll of terror, and levitates in the air as she is now possessed. She says that they should stop interfering with their plans and starts to chase Chris with her Piko Piko Hammer. Chris yells for Sonic to help him, but the only way is to get Sonic out of his prison. As Amy corners Chris, she gets ready to deliver a final blow when she stops, as if in fear. Behind him is the Talisman and he finally understands what the message on the pedestal meant. He picks up the Talisman, flips it over so the sun side is facing up and puts it back on the window sill. Sun-like light comes from tiles in the ceiling and Sonic is freed. He rushes over to an unconscious Amy falling into his arms and the Boom leaves her head, turning her back to normal. Amy wakes up and hugs Sonic happily and the smaller ghosts attack them. Sonic attacks back, defeating some of the ghosts. He then charges at King Boom Boo. Some ghosts get ready to attack Amy, but she hits them into a wall instead. Three more corner her and fuse together into a larger Boom Boo. Amy gets in a fighting stance, and hits the ghost, causing it to crash into the wall. Meanwhile, Chris wakes his mother up, who has also been freed, as well as Ella, Tails, Cream and Cheese. She gets up and asks how she was in that take, not realizing the events that have occurred. Sonic tells Chris to get out while he deals with the ghosts. Tails throws Sonic a Ring, giving Sonic the power to use his Spin Attack on King Boom Boo. Chris grabs the Talisman, then he and the others leave as Sonic slams into King Boom Boo, slamming him into the wall. He then leaves to go catch up to his friends. When he does, he finds that they have not even made it halfway up the stairs. Suddenly, King Boom Boo bursts out of the wall and starts eating up the staircase, refusing to let them escape. Sonic picks Lindsey up and starts running up the stairs towards the exit. They all get outside and Amy hits the pedestal back into place. Chris puts the Talisman back on the pedestal, but instead of the sun side, he accidentally put it on the moon side, though Sonic does not mind. Lindsey exclaims that that was fun, but she did not know it was a fantasy film that they were filming. Then the director, camera man, and a police officer run up to them. When the director says that she had him worried, Lindsey asks why. The police explains that nobody has ever escaped from the ghosts before. Chris then asks about the ghosts to the police officer who explains a rumor that the place they are at sits on an ancient burial ground and that the original owner built the castle there. When he heard about the legend about ghosts living there, he laughed and said that they were nonsense. The man disappeared after the first night he stayed there, never to be seen again. The final thing the viewers see is two ghosts in one of the upper-story windows laughing.

The episode starts off with brief sceneries of some animals in a savannah in Africa. Sonic, Tails and Chris flying over the large savannah in Africa. As Tails and Sonic look at the wildlife down below, Chris frantically points at the radar in front of Tails. Above them is Dr. Eggman's Egg Fort. Eggman quickly tells Decoe and Bocoe to fire at the X-Tornado. They do but the X-Tornado avoids the missiles. Sonic uses a Ring to gain power and uses a Spin Dash, slicing right through the ship which greatly damages it. Eggman's airship starts to crash and Tails brings the X-Tornado close for Sonic to get back on, but an explosion pushes the plane away. Tails tries to get the plane through the debris, but a large piece of the Egg Fort shatters one of its wings. Tails and Chris continue to spiral down into the thick jungle. The two of them land safely and Tails begins to repair the X-Tornado. After a while, Tails finishes, but Chris explains that the wing is still broken, so they won't be able to fly. Tails says that he is right but the plane can walk. Tails transforms the X-Tornado so it can walk, but as soon as it does, one of the legs falls off, collapsing the plane onto its side. Tails resumes fixing the X-Tornado and when Chris asks if there was something he could do to help, Tails says he can handle it himself. Chris notes that he doesn't have phone reception where they're at. He lays down under a tree and Tails tells him he can take a nap and he'll wake him up when he's done. Chris says that the area was different from Station Square and when Tails asks how that is, Chris replies that time seemed to move slower than normal. Tails says that he doesn't think it feels any different than from in the city and says that it reminds him of home. Chris asks if Tails misses his home to which the latter replies that he really missed it at first, but now he likes Station Square and desires to start an engineering company there someday and build machines. Tails asks what Chris wants to do when he's older, to which Chris replies by saying he wants to study zoology, despite that his grandfather and father wanting him to build machines like they do. Now that he met Sonic and the others, he is more interested in animals than machines. Just when Chris tries to say that they're not just animals, Tails exclaims that the X-Tornado is fixed and the two go off to find Sonic. Meanwhile, the Egg Fort has crashed into a swamp. Eggman opens the side hatch and soon gets surrounded by crocodiles. Decoe and Bocoe then launch E-65, a large gorilla-like mech, to search for Sonic. They tell Eggman that they will inform him when they find Sonic and Eggman warns them not to fail him (with a few unconscious crocodiles in front of him). E-65 then takes off into the jungle. Meanwhile, Sonic is running across the plains, looking for Tails and Chris, when he comes across a cheetah. The two start to race and Sonic picks up the cheetah as a show of skill and runs faster. Tails and Chris come upon what looks like a construction site. Two working men (named Sergei and Boris) are talking and Tails and Chris go up to them. The two men ask how they got in, saying that this is a restricted area. The two heroes ask what they are building and the men reply that they are building a dam. Chris is astonished and explains to Tails what a dam is. Tails looks around and says that he doesn't see any water around the dam. Sergei says that they are being too nosey and Tails spies the animals watching the construction sight. Tails asks the men if they thought about what will happen to the wildlife when they are finished with the dam. Sergei replies he doesn't care what would happen to them and calls over a man named Ivan. Ivan turns out to be a large construction worker and the man tells Tails and Chris to get lost, as the two men leave. Tails goes and yells at the animals, saying that they deserve to lose their home. Chris asks if he's okay and Tails apologizes for his tone, explaining that back on his world, the other animals would tease him and destroy the machines that he made. The flashback goes on to show Sonic running up while Tails watches him behind some bushes. Sonic then runs off while Tails eagerly follows him. He comes across a beach and sees a red biplane parked on the sand. Tails examines the plane and starts to tinker with it, making it faster and even repainting it blue. Sonic then appears and Tails says that when he sees a machine he can't help himself and that he fixed the engine so it can go faster. Sonic says that he also like what he did with the color and Tails shows him what else he did with the plane. Sonic asks if Tails had followed him around all morning to check out his plane, or if there was something else he wanted. Tails tells Sonic that he likes to fix, make and repair machines, but the other animals make fun of him. He says that he thought Sonic looked cool, so he followed him and fixed up his plane so they could be friends. Sonic asks Tails his name, and Tails introduces himself, saying that his friends called him Tails. Sonic then introduces himself, and thanks him, saying that he needs a mechanic and a friend. The two of them then become friends. The flashback ends when Tails tells Chris that everybody picked on him. Tails orders the men to close down the construction site for the animals' sake or he'll shut it down himself. Just then, a bulldozer starts moving near him, threatening to crush him underneath it. He runs out of the way and Chris says they might need some help to stop the dam from being built. To show that they want to help, the animals behind them step forward, all with a determined look on their face. Tails and Chris head back to Station Square and tell them about the dam and that they need to work together to help the nature preserve. The citizens immediately agree and before long, a large protest crowd has begun in front of the dam construction site. Sergei and Boris try to calm the mob down by explaining the dam's purpose, but this makes the citizens even angrier. They also see Tails and Chris and the men realize it was the duo who had brought the crowd there. The men tell the crowd to leave and that it is a restricted area, but the citizens would not budge. Tails and Chris embrace in a hug to celebrate. The two men drive off into the middle of the jungle and Sergei starts to unload gasoline cans from the back of the jeep. Boris asks how they will build the dam when there isn't any water and then Sergei explains that they will burn down the forest using the gasoline cans and once the forest is all gone, rainwater will have fallen in the area with seemingly with nowhere to go, so the people will be begging them to finish the dam. Just then, the two hear a noise and E-65 comes out from the forest. After looking at the two men, Decoe and Bocoe say they aren't Sonic but they then see Sonic in the distance. They order the gorilla mech to pursue Sonic and, after pounding on its chest, it charges at him. Sonic runs right underneath E-65, causing the robot to trip and fall face-first onto the ground. E-65 gets up and charges at Sonic again, but he disappears into the forest. When E-65 passes a nearby tree, it suddenly becomes invisible. Boris tells Sergei to forget the plan, but Sergei doesn't give up, and the two of them run into the forest, each of them holding gasoline cans. Sonic eventually stops running to look behind him. He assumes he has lost the robot, until E-65 drops down from a tree and delivers a punch to Sonic, sending him flying. Using it's invisibility, it sneaks behind Sonic, turns visible and kicks him. Meanwhile, Sergei and Boris are about to pour the gasoline when Dr. Eggman approaches them in his Egg Mobile. Eggman asks if they have seen Sonic and Sergei calls him a weirdo. The doctor doesn't appreciate the insult and shoots a green laser from his Egg Mobile, which cuts down the tops of some trees close to the two men, making them run away. Back with Sonic, he looks for E-65, wondering how can he fight something he can't even see. E-65 suddenly drops down from the trees, invisible once again and then becoming visible and slams both of his fists down on Sonic. He then turns invisible as Sonic gets up. Sonic hears laughing and it turns out to be Eggman. The doctor claims that Sonic has met his match when E-65 punches Sonic from out of nowhere. Sonic stumbles back and E-65 pops out from nowhere and punches Sonic again. He then comes back once more for another punch delivered to Sonic. After all the beatings, Sonic closes his eyes and uses his sense of hearing to find the robot. He darts off into one direction, straight into E-65. E-65 falls onto his back and Sonic runs off, soon catching up with Sergei and Boris in the jeep. Eggman and E-65 soon pass them, too. At the dam, Tails says that they are going to go home and that they'll go look for Sonic. Sonic, at that moment, comes running into view and runs over to his two friends. Tails and Chris tell Sonic what they did and then Eggman and his robot come rushing towards them. Sonic then runs right into the construction site with E-65 and Eggman hot on his heels. E-65 attempts to camouflage, but it doesn't work all the way. It has stepped in front of a construction machine and some of him is still visible. Sonic attacks E-65, forcing him to turn completely visible. Eggman, wanting to defeat Sonic, starts firing missiles and laser at all the machines in the site, destroying them. Sergei and Boris arrive on the scene and witness Eggman destroying the site. Sonic starts attacking E-65, not giving it a chance to protect itself. The gorilla robot falls on its back and both Decoe and Bocoe evacuate. Tails throws Sonic a Ring, which he uses to power himself up and bursts through E-65, ultimately destroying it. Sonic and Eggman then face off, but it doesn't last for more than a few seconds, ending in the Egg Mobile being trashed and Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe running off. Bokkun flies overhead and lands in front of Sonic and pulls out a mini television. He turns it on and Eggman appears on the screen. Eggman says that he is still in command, and to prove it, he orders Bokkun to perform a tap dance, which Bokkun does until he flies off crying in embarrassment. Later that day, the police arrive, arrest Sergei and Boris and close the construction site. As they watch the police take the two men away, the heroes claimed that Eggman (sort of) helped them save the animals, because if he hadn't made them crash, they would have never been able to save the animals.

After Eggman tricked Knuckles and Chris into giving him the six Chaos Emeralds, Chris was held hostage on the Egg Fort II as it took off and goes to meet Lucky, who has found the final Chaos Emerald, and Sonic had to rescue him. The episode begins with Danny, Helen, and Frances playing with a puppet toy of Next until they spot the gigantic fortress flying overhead. Then Sonic runs past while Lucky has just found the last Chaos Emerald in a landfill. The President says that he hopes they are ready for Chaos Control and Tails, Chuck, Amy, Cream, and Cheese use the X Tornado to also rescue Chris. When Eggman is just about to grab the Chaos Emerald from Lucky, Sonic zooms in to smash the machine and G.U.N. Beetles attack Eggman, but the Egg Shields block the missiles and he launches the Egg Beam Cannon on the ground that leaves the Beetles unaffected. The impact causes Lucky to almost fall into the sea due to being sent flying by the blast, but Sonic rescues him and gets the Chaos Emerald. Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe then transform the Egg Fort II into the E-99 Eggsterminator. Sonic then comes up with a plan to defeat the machine, using his speed. But Eggman uses the six Chaos Emeralds Knuckles and Chris gave him to empower the Eggsterminator. The Eggsterminator then attacks Sonic and punches him into a building, and then the Eggsterminator goes out of control and continues to pound Sonic very hard. Eggman is impressed by the strength of his robot, but also slightly scared by its power. Then the X Tornado arrives while Sonic, who is still willing to rescue Chris no matter what, tells Eggman that nothing can stop him despite his injuries. The G.U.N. Beetles also attempt to attack, but the Eggsterminator easily destroys them. Suddenly, the robot uses an extra burst of energy and slams Sonic into the ground repeatedly. Eggman is afraid of his robot now and is angry at it for using all the power from the emeralds, leading to Eggman ordering it to stop as he could not bear to see Sonic getting hurt anymore. In response, the robot lifts up Sonic, now unconscious, and throws him into the air before slamming him once more into the sea, frightening Eggman and his robot lackeys. Unable to bear the sight, Chris breaks free from his restraints and grabs the Chaos Emeralds, and Knuckles barges in to rescue Chris, but Rouge arrives first and flies off with both Chris and the Chaos Emeralds. Then Chris accidentally drops the emeralds into the sea, while the Eggsterminator grabs Rouge and Chris and attempts to crush them. However, with all seven emeralds in his possession, Sonic is able to transform into Super Sonic. His first move is to mortally wound the Eggsterminator by reducing its fist holding Chris and Rouge in it to shrapnel. Eggman does nothing to intervene, knowing that Chaos Control is about to happen. As the malfunctioned Eggsterminator attempts to beat up Super Sonic with its remaining fist, the super-powered hedgehog halts off its attack and destroys the Eggsterminator within a matter of seconds. Chaos Control has begun, but Chris tearfully desired that Sonic cannot leave. For some reason though, instead of sending Sonic back home, two locations from his planet, Angel Island and Mystic Ruins, are assimilated into Earth. With his home brought forth, Knuckles resumes his task of guarding the Master Emerald. Dr. Eggman, defeated again, stumbles upon a stone tablet, setting the stage for his next plan. The episode ends with Sonic finding Chris and saying "Hey! Long time no see!".

The episode begins with Sonic facing Eggman with a giant bird robot named E-88 Lightning Bird standing in a farm-like environment with Amy is standing behind Sonic with a worried expression on her face. The robot suddenly beings charging towards the hedgehogs and shines a bright light that blinds Sonic and Amy. When the light finally dims, Sonic hears Amy calling his name in fear. He looks up, only to see Amy being carried away by a giant bird-like robot. Eggman taunts Sonic, saying that if he wants Amy back, then come get her. Amy tries to break free using her Piko Piko Hammer but this causes her dress to rip slightly, making her even more upset. Tails arrives into the scene on the X-Tornado, launching a Ring to Sonic who uses it to destroy the robot, making Amy fall towards the ground. Sonic catches her during the fall, telling her not to worry. As Amy remarks Sonic that he is her hero, they fall into a haystack to soften the landing. Sonic begins to rub his ear as Amy talks about how romantic the moment is. Amy notices that Sonic is not listening and gets mad. Sonic responds by asking her the problem, irritating Amy further. (During the battle, a piece of the robot fell off and landed in Sonic's ear.) Back at the Thorndyke Mansion, Sonic is on top of the roof, rubbing his ear. Amy, Tails and Chris are all watching him curiously from below on the driveway. Amy continues complaining about Sonic ignoring her. Tails suggests that maybe there's something on his mind. Chris wonders what could be bothering him. As they wonder, Mr. Tanaka flips the switch on a remote control. This causes Sonic to perk up, pull down his lower eyelids and yell as if he suffered an electric shock. They all look up at him, and Sonic suddenly jumps off the roof and begins to run around like a lunatic. Everybody wonders where he might have sped off to and Sonic makes a journey through Station Square while Chris, Tails and Amy board on the X-Tornado to track down the hedgehog. During this journey, Sonic finds out that he cannot stop running. He runs past Sam Speed who jumps in at the chance to race against Sonic. Chris tries to reason with his uncle that there may be a problem affecting Sonic, but his uncle didn't take it seriously. Sam fails to catch Sonic due to his racing vehicle running out of fuel. The X-Tornado continues to follow Sonic as he runs towards a desert. Amy suspects that something bad must have happened to Sonic as he battled E-88 Lightning Bird. When Chris asks what the cause is, Amy replies that she didn't know what it is. The X-Tornado then turns around heading home. Meanwhile Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe watched Sonic as he runs through the seemingly endless desert roads. Chris explains the situation to his grandfather Chuck to which he proposes an operation that the gang will need to find a method to capture Sonic in order to discover his problems. As Tails and Chuck began to discuss with each other in the laboratory, Amy stares at the sky, wishing to know what's wrong with Sonic. Sonic still continues to run despite the time, leaving his evil watchers Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe retire for the night. The next day, Chuck announces his first method: to wield a rocket launcher and fire a bomb filled with helium directly at Sonic, causing him to stop running as he floats up in the air. Tails, Amy and Chris board on the X-Tornado to find Sonic and soon enough, they find the speeding hedgehog. Amy prepares the weapon and upon Chuck's command, she fires the missile at Sonic. Just as expected, Sonic comes to a stop just in front of the operations headquarters where the others were and a balloon forms at Sonic's back. However, Sonic floats away in the air, which therefore the plan didn't work as Chuck notes he used too much helium. Sonic continues to drift along in the breeze yelling for help. Knuckles notices this and Sonic asks him to help get him down to ground. Knuckles throws a rock in response which breaks the balloon causing Sonic to drop into the shallow river and runs towards Knuckles' direction. Knuckles tries to stop him but Sonic zooms past him, leaving him a fish flopping around his hands. Knuckles headed towards operation headquarters and meets up with Sonic's friends. Amy asks if Knuckles stopped Sonic to which the echidna replies that the hedgehog missed him, much to Amy's disgrace. The gang are treated to some lunch prepped by Ella. While eating, a tumbleweed rolls by them and traps Tails inside it, spinning around as he goes. This instantly gave Chuck an idea. He explains to the gang his next method of capturing Sonic: he would build a technologically modified wheel for Knuckles to push when given the signal. At the right timing, Chuck will then trap Sonic inside it like a hamster running in a cage just as soon as Sonic and the wheel are right next to each other. The gang agrees and prepares their positions. Meanwhile Sonic, still running, notices arrows placed on rocks and follows their indicated directions; little did he know what his friends have planned for him. In a short amount of time, Sonic is approaching towards their position. Mr. Tanaka gives the signal for Knuckles to push the wheel down and successfully, the wheel traps Sonic as he helplessly runs against the direction of the wheel. Despite of this, Sonic still has not stopped running for a long time. This concerns Chuck, as he notes that the wheel was not designed to withstand the speed for a long time. The stand holding the wheel in place eventually breaks, releasing the wheel. Knuckles, who is unfortunately standing right in front of the wheel's direction, tries to move out of the way but he gets crushed by the wheel. The wheel then falls onto its side and because of Sonic's speed, the wheel drills a deep hole in the ground, causing a geyser to shoot up through the hole taking Sonic with it. It turns out that this method of capturing Sonic was a failure again. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe were delightfully entertained with Sonic's running on the wheel, with the two robot henchmen suggesting that Eggman should go on a workout. Still attempting to find a means of capturing Sonic, Chuck calls to the group that they will need a "friend" to help out in this operation. The next day, the "friend" arrives to the operation headquarters, who turns out to be Sam Speed. Chuck then explains everyone his third method of capturing Sonic: Sam and Sonic will race against each other until they reach two number gates: 1 and 2. Sam is expected to go through number 2 while Sonic goes through number 1, where a trap will stick him to the ground. The others agree with excitement as they head to their positions. Soon, Sonic is running towards the race's starting position and on Amy's command, Sam took off to race with the hedgehog. Despite of Amy attempting to reassure Sam that it is not a real race and that he is supposed to be the bait to lure him into the trap but after misunderstandings between the two, Sam ends up going through the number 1 gate leading into the trap while Sonic runs through gate number two and still continues to run. Once again, the method for capturing Sonic has failed. Meanwhile on the X-Tornado, Tails and Amy fly over Lightning Bird. Amy, wanting revenge, attempts to attack the robot. This only leads to her being shocked by an electric net. Sonic then runs by, destroying the robot by jumping into the air. This makes the device in Sonic's ear to fall out. Sonic then runs into a haystack and catches Amy, saving her from the fall. They land in a haystack once again. Amy told Sonic that she was worried about him but gets angry again when Sonic puts his finger in his ear. Sonic remarks that there is still something in his ear. Amy leans over next to his ear, and gently blows into it. This releases some hay that got its way into his ear from the fall. Sonic says that it is much better now and the two sit peacefully in the haystack, watching the clouds as the episode ends.
