The 1996 animated series is titled The Incredible Hulk, and later renamed The Incredible Hulk and She-Hulk for its second season. It ran for two seasons and a total of 21 episodes on the UPN network from 1996 to 1997.
Plot: The first season was notably dark in tone, focusing on Bruce Banner, already established as the Hulk and on the run from General Thunderbolt Ross and the military, as he sought a cure for his condition. The primary villain was the Leader, who created the Abomination and other "Gamma Warriors".
Characters and Crossovers: The series was known for featuring many guest appearances from other Marvel characters, placing it in the same continuity as other 1990s Marvel cartoons like Iron Man and Fantastic Four. Guest stars included Iron Man, War Machine, the Fantastic Four (the Thing and Mr. Fantastic), Thor, Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange, and Sasquatch.
Season 2 Shift: UPN requested a tonal shift for the second season, considering the first season "too dark". The show was rebranded to include She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters, Bruce's cousin) as a regular co-star, adopting a more light-hearted and comedic approach. The Grey Hulk personality also became a more prominent feature in the second season.
Voice Cast: A notable feature was the return of Lou Ferrigno, who had famously portrayed the Hulk in the 1970s live-action TV series, to provide the voice for the Green Hulk in this animated version. Neal McDonough voiced the human form, Bruce Banner. Other voice actors included Mark Hamill as the Gargoyle and Luke Perry as Rick Jones.

MemoryCryptofCastleHillsThe Incredible Hulk is an American animated television series starring the Marvel Comics character the Hulk. It aired for two seasons (21 episodes) on UPN from 1996 to 1997. Lou Ferrigno, who had portrayed the Hulk on the live-action TV series from 1978 to 1982, had provided the Hulk's voice. The show had often featured cameo appearances by characters from other Marvel cartoons of the period. In the second season, the show's format, after UPN decided that season one was too dark, was changed and to give "female viewers a chance",[3] the network had ordered that She-Hulk be made a regular co-star - as a result, the series was officially renamed The Incredible Hulk and She-Hulk for the second season. The second season had also featured Grey Hulk, who previously made two cameo appearances in the first season.
