Wolfgang Van Halen's Mammoth WVH have released a lyric video Like A Pastime, the second single from upcoming album Mammoth II. It follows in the sonic footsteps of March release Another Celebration At The End Of The World, and is backboned by a driving rhythm that takes Mammoth WVH to places it hasn't been before. ** Do you know where the name for the band Mammoth came from? Mammoth II will be released on August 4 and promises to be the highlight of a very busy summer for Wolfgang and the band, as a lengthy run of shows in Europe is followed by another in North America. What’s not in doubt about Wolfgang Van Halen is his copious talent – so much talent that he barely knows what to do with it. He played all the instruments on Mammoth WVH's 2021 debut, and repeats the trick again here, with the depth of his musical mastery writ no less large. His dad, the legendary Eddie Van Halen, pretty much revolutionised what people thought could be done with a guitar – a type of perma-grinning, MTV-era Hendrix – and while it’d be unfair to compare Wolfie to his old man (different times, different circumstances), what’s not in doubt is that the Van Halens basically bagged all the talent genes.

Wolfgang Van Halen’s Mammoth WVH Unveil New Song “I’m Alright”: Stream appeared first on Consequence. Wolfgang Van Halen‘s Mammoth WVH have shared the video for “I’m Alright,” the latest single from the upcoming Mammoth II full-length, out Friday (August 4th). The five-minute track is a propulsive hard rocker highlighted by a strong vocal performance from Wolfgang. He shows off his soulful side here, extending notes and hitting some impressive melodic vibratos. And as we’ve come to expect from Wolfgang and his band, there’s plenty of surging guitars and stadium-ready chords.

Speaking of the album’s lead single, “Another Celebration at the End of the World,” Van Halen goes on to say that it is, “definitely a song that showcases what people can expect from the new album. It is a high-energy rocker with some fun guitar moments on it. “I also pushed myself vocally and it is a song I can’t wait to get out and play live. I can see it being a fixture in our live set moving forward.”
