Jeremiah 51 cont. & 52 – The golden cup - Babylon intoxicated the whole earth is her idolatry. 2017
RVTAJer 51:7 Babylon has been a golden cup in the hand of the LORD, Intoxicating all the earth. The nations have drunk of her wine; Therefore the nations are going mad. The golden cup by which Babylon has intoxicated the whole earth is her idolatry. Jer 51:47-48 Therefore behold, days are coming When I shall punish the idols of Babylon; And her whole land will be put to shame, And all her slain will fall in her midst. 48“Then heaven and earth and all that is in them Will shout for joy over Babylon, For the destroyers will come to her from the north,” Declares the LORD. The idolatry of Babylon has been embraced by the world and consequently, they are going mad. The description of the whore of Babylon in Revelation 17 is strikingly similar. Rev. 17:4 And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality, As with this description being Babylon, it is likely that the reference in Revelation is describing the Holy Roman Empire of the Crusades. They were soundly defeated by the Muslim Empire about 800 years ago. But, as with the idolatry of Babylon, the corrupt religious system lives on.25 views 1 comment -
Jeremiah 50 & 51 – The Jewish people have become lost sheep because of the false shepherds. 2017
RVTAJer 50:6 "My people have become lost sheep; Their shepherds have led them astray. They have made them turn aside on the mountains; They have gone along from mountain to hill And have forgotten their resting place. The Jewish people have become lost sheep because of the false shepherds. They no longer followed the Torah of Elohim. The time came some 550 years later that Elohim sent Yeshua, the Good Shepherd, to once again teach His people His Torah and lead them to the path of righteousness. John 10:11-16 “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. 12“He who is a hireling, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, beholds the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees, and the wolf snatches them, and scatters them. 13“He flees because he is a hireling, and is not concerned about the sheep. 14“I am the good shepherd; and I know My own, and My own know Me, 15even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16“And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they shall hear My voice; and they shall become one flock with one shepherd. Matt. 15:24 But He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”26 views 1 comment -

Jeremiah 44 – 47 – The lure of the gods of Egypt ensnared the people that moved there. 2017
RVTAJeremiah 44 How deeply rooted is ones traditions and beliefs? Is it difficult to get someone to obey the Torah of Elohim when they have been somewhat prosperous and what they have done in the past has led them to good feelings and strong emotions? Mankind has a tendency to follow its heart. Man often does not care about the things of Elohim, but would rather follow his own ways. We see it all the time today. Jeremiah saw it in his day. Scripture warns against us following what we think is right instead of following Torah. Prov. 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But a wise man is he who listens to counsel. Prov 14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Prov 3:5-8 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. 7Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil. 8It will be healing to your body, And refreshment to your bones. Jeremiah is going to run into the same problem that many people have today. People are engaging in pagan practices that violate Torah and they do not care. Pagan practice and pagan worship were being mixed with the attempted worship of Elohim and the people thought this type of worship was what has led to their blessings. The people were wrong. And they are going to pay with their lives. Jer 44:1 The word that came to Jeremiah for all the Jews living in the land of Egypt, those who were living in Migdol, Tahpanhes, Memphis, and the land of Pathros, saying, This prophecy was probably given 16 or 17 years after the destruction of Jerusalem. The people are living and staying in Egypt. They have witnessed the evil that Elohim brought upon Jerusalem. Jer 44:2 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, 'You yourselves have seen all the calamity that I have brought on Jerusalem and all the cities of Judah; and behold, this day they are in ruins and no one lives in them, Jer 44:3 because of their wickedness which they committed so as to provoke Me to anger by continuing to burn sacrifices and to serve other gods whom they had not known, neither they, you, nor your fathers. The lure of the gods of Egypt has ensnared the people that moved there. They were very comfortable with their religious traditions which were against the Torah of Elohim. The people did not care because they were prosperous and emotionally tickled and satisfied with their evil ritual. Jer 44:4 'Yet I sent you all My servants the prophets, again and again, saying, "Oh, do not do this abominable thing which I hate." Jer 44:5 'But they did not listen or incline their ears to turn from their wickedness, so as not to burn sacrifices to other gods. Elohim told them that if they go to Egypt, there would be no hope for them. Jer 42:15-16 then in that case listen to the word of the LORD, O remnant of Judah. Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, “If you really set your mind to enter Egypt, and go in to reside there, 16then it will come about that the sword, which you are afraid of will overtake you there in the land of Egypt; and the famine, about which you are anxious, will follow closely after you there in Egypt; and you will die there.24 views -
Jeremiah 40-43 – These men of Ishmael were not only trained assassins; everyone was surprised. 2017
RVTAJer 41:6 Then Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went out from Mizpah to meet them, weeping as he went; and it came about as he met them that he said to them, "Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam!" Jer 41:7 Yet it turned out that as soon as they came inside the city, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the men that were with him slaughtered them, and cast them into the cistern. These men of Ishmael were not only trained assassins, but they had the upper hand in that they caught everyone by surprise. Jer 41:8 But ten men who were found among them said to Ishmael, "Do not put us to death; for we have stores of wheat, barley, oil and honey hidden in the field." So he refrained and did not put them to death along with their companions. The men apparently had hidden food in subterranean pits. This was a common practice where they would store at least four hundred bushels at a time. This same mode of keeping corn is done today in Syria and areas near Israel.18 views -
Jeremiah 37-39 – The fate of Zedekiah was brutal. His sons executed & his eyes were gouged out. 2017
RVTAJer 39:6 Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes at Riblah; the king of Babylon also slew all the nobles of Judah. Jer 39:7 He then blinded Zedekiah's eyes and bound him in fetters of bronze to bring him to Babylon. The fate of Zedekiah was brutal. He watched his sons be executed before his own eyes were gouged out.15 views -
Jeremiah 35 & 36 - The officials of the kingdom turned in fear to one another. 2017
RVTAJer 36:16 Now it came about when they had heard all the words, they turned in fear one to another and said to Baruch, "We will surely report all these words to the king." Jer 36:17 And they asked Baruch, saying, "Tell us please, how did you write all these words? Was it at his dictation?" Jer 36:18 Then Baruch said to them, "He dictated all these words to me, and I wrote them with ink on the book." Jer 36:19 Then the officials said to Baruch, "Go, hide yourself, you and Jeremiah, and do not let anyone know where you are." The officials of the kingdom turned in fear to one another. The words of Elohim through Jeremiah were having the desired affect. But the officials knew that the king would likely be angry. So they told Baruch to get Jeremiah and for the two of them to hide.21 views -
Jeremiah 33 & 34 – In this chapter, He is going to give us insight into this coming kingdom. 2017
RVTAJer 33:1 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still confined in the court of the guard, saying, Jeremiah is still confined to prison, but now he is in the court of the prison. The elders and officers of the king can more easily consult with him in the court of the prison as opposed to the cell he was in previously. This chapter is going to give us insight into the coming Kingdom. We were told in the previous two chapters how Elohim would have mercy on Judah and Israel and form a New Covenant with them. He said He would give them a new heart and they would follow His Torah. Jer 32:38-41 “And they shall be My people, and I will be their God; 39and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me always, for their own good, and for the good of their children after them. 40“And I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me. 41“And I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul. In this chapter, He is going to give us insight into this coming kingdom.62 views -
Jeremiah 32 – Messiah is the only one worthy who paid the purchase price for the Land. 2017
RVTAJer 32:12 and I gave the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the sight of Hanamel my uncle's son, and in the sight of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, before all the Jews who were sitting in the court of the guard. Jeremiah took one copy of the deed of purchase and gave it to Baruch. This was done in front of witnesses who signed the purchase and in front of all the Jews who were sitting in the court of the guard. This is almost exactly the same scene we have in the Revelation. Yeshua Messiah is amongst the beasts and the elders who were witnessing the opening the Book of Life. I had previously thought that the Book of Life was the title deed to the planet earth, but I no longer agree with that theory. I believe the Book of Life is the Title Deed to the Land of Israel. That is the Land that Yeshua redeems in the Revelation. The laws of redemption apply to Israel. There is no indication this applies to any other place. Yeshua opens this title deed in front of witnesses that are seated. The elders and beasts are probably the guards of the Throne. Rev. 4:4-7 And around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments, and golden crowns on their heads. 5And from the throne proceed flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. And there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God; 6and before the throne there was, as it were, a sea of glass like crystal; and in the center and around the throne, four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind. 7And the first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like that of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle. John never question what the sealed scroll actually is. John writes this as though he knows what it is. John even cried when he thinks no one is worthy to open it. Rev. 5:1-5 And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a book written inside and on the back, sealed up with seven seals. 2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the book and to break its seals?” 3And no one in heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look into it. 4And I began to weep greatly, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look into it; 5and one of the elders said to me, “Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals.” Yeshua is the only one worthy who has paid the purchase price for the Land.34 views -
Jeremiah 27-29 – This chapter contains letters that Jeremiah sent to the captives in Babylon. 2017
RVTAJer 29:1 Now these are the words of the letter which Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the rest of the elders of the exile, the priests, the prophets, and all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had taken into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon. This chapter contains letters that Jeremiah sent to the captives in Babylon. It probably happened after the fall of Judah in 597 B.C.20 views
