South Korea was once known as a drug-free country, where there was no concept of even recreational drug use in everyday life, and drug-related deaths or addiction were virtually unheard of. That reality, however, is rapidly disappearing. Just over a decade ago, in 2014, approximately 9,984 drug offenders were apprehended. By 2023, that number had risen to 27,611, nearly a threefold increase. Recently, a large-scale Chinese drug trafficking network was uncovered. The group smuggled methamphetamine into South Korea via Southeast Asia—an amount sufficient to supply forty thousand people at once. The gang planned to hire a South Korean man to transport the drugs to Seoul, but the man, suspecting the bag might contain explosives, immediately reported it to the police. After several months of investigation, authorities arrested a large number of traffickers operating inside the country. San Francisco, once a symbol of innovation, culture, and prosperity on America’s West Coast, is now almost unrecognizable. Streets that once saw the rise of tech and tourism are now overrun with makeshift tents, visibly drugged individuals, homeless people lying on sidewalks, and an overwhelming sense of insecurity and abandonment. A recently viral video on social media brutally reveals what residents and visitors have been denouncing for years: the city is drowning in chaos. The footage captures heartbreaking scenes of human beings lost in addiction, erratic behavior in broad daylight, and a state of urban decay that’s impossible to ignore. All of this is happening under the leadership of Democrat politicians like Daniel Lurie—an influential figure in local politics and, according to multiple media outlets, one of the top contenders within California’s progressive apparatus. Although Lurie has promised to "renew San Francisco's social contract," the reality on the streets tells a very different story. For decades, San Francisco has been governed by the Democratic Party, pushing so-called “compassionate” policies that have, in practice, led to total permissiveness toward crime, drug use, and homelessness. The most affected areas—Tenderloin, Mission District, and parts of Downtown—look like scenes from a post-apocalyptic film. Soft-on-crime drug laws, the removal of legal consequences for minor offenses, and a judicial system overloaded and shaped by ideology have rendered the city incapable of fulfilling its most basic duties: to provide safety, cleanliness, and public order. Residents no longer feel safe. Parents have stopped taking their children to parks for fear they’ll encounter used needles or unstable individuals. Public transportation—once a model of efficiency—is now avoided by many due to constant threats of theft or assault. Trump Was Right: This Is the Democrat Model Former President Donald J. Trump has been one of the most vocal critics of the direction cities like San Francisco have taken. During his administration, Trump publicly condemned California’s decline and squarely blamed Democrat leaders for their inefficiency and their disregard for the average citizen. "This is what happens when the radical left is in charge," Trump warned. Today, those words echo louder than ever. A Call to Restore Order What’s at stake isn’t just the reputation of an iconic American city—but the future of the political model being pushed onto the rest of the country. San Francisco stands as the ultimate social experiment of radical progressivism—and the results, for all to see, are alarming. With elections approaching, many Americans are asking themselves: do we want more of the same, or is it time to return to order, security, and common sense? The Republican Party, led by Trump and other conservative voices who prioritize law and order, represents—for millions of Americans—the last hope to restore the greatness of cities abandoned by the radical left.
