Pro Late Models at Weedsport
roylee18**Audio is muted. I forgot to pause my podcast, so that was also recorded. To be fair to the podcaster, I have muted the audio on this video. A National career race at Weedsport Speedway on Expert difficulty. Early in the night there is plenty of traction. Traction does drop a little after Qualifying. By Feature time it is either the very bottom or the top for good traction. There is moderate traction on the middle, but I find that the car does not want to turn on the black. I find it fastest to enter turn 1 low and quickly slide out to the wall for the exit while trying to keep as much momentum as possible. Then run the top for turns 3 and 4. There are some small bumps on the track, typical of a dirt track. The AI will generally run the top and bottom in the corners, and drift up to the wall on the straights. Down the back stretch, the AI will squeeze you to the wall, not leaving much room to spare. 2 cautions this race. The first one happened right in front of me, requiring fast reaction. Ben Wells dove low into the corner and Dylan Wilson was running the middle, contact was made and both drivers spun. I barely got by with a little bumper damage. The 2nd caution came as the last 2 cars of Justin Smith and Brandon Weigle connected, with Smith spinning. Traffic navigation was good, with moderate maneuverability. I did bump a few cars, but nothing dramatic. Traffic navigation can be tricky in turns 1 and 2, as the AI will slide up in the middle of the corner, leaving limited room to get around. Pro Late Models at Kern
roylee18A National career race at Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway on Expert difficulty. Turns 1 and 2 can get a bit tight, and watch out for the wall as it turns in quick. Turns 3 and 4 are quite easy to navigate. The track is pretty smooth with a good sized berm on the bottom. The 1 hole I notice is on the low side for turns 1 and 2, which will upset the car a little. As the night progresses it does get a little slick when on the black, but still has decent grip. Lap times do not drop much. There were 2 cautions this race. The first one I believe was when Dalton Benefield drifted up and squeezed Jamie Nicholson Jr into the wall, but no car spun or stopped. The 2nd caution was for a spinning Devin Whatley, who spun after he dove into the bottom of the corner with Jamie Maurice already there and contact was made. Mostly clean race on a narrower track, just a couple bumps. Track navigation was pretty good for this track. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 242 views -
Pro Late Models at Straight River
roylee18The National career race at Straight River Speedway on Expert difficulty. Early in the night there is plenty of traction. Traction does drop a little after Qualifying, but not much. After qualifying the traction does reduce a fair amount, requiring a fair amount of throttle control. I find the bottom here to be fastest, but when side by side, the top is competitive. The track surface is a bit on the rough side, but at least nothing car throwing. This was by far the most competitive race I have had yet. 2 cautions slowed the pace. The first came as Justin Smith spun out in front of the pack after contract with Brian Carter, and I needed to take drastic action to avoid blasting Smith. The 2nd was for Joe Lusk, after he dove low into Travis Sollenberger and spun out. Once again I had to take drastic action to avoid heavy contact. I did get into the wall, as I glanced off Lusk. I did bump into a couple cars in this race, but nothing substantial. Traffic navigation was good, granted towards the end I just couldn't get passed Mike Norris. Pro Late Models at Fairbury
roylee18The National career race at Fairbury Speedway on Expert difficulty. Early in the night there is plenty of traction. Traction does drop a little after Qualifying, but not much. After qualifying the middle gets a bit slick. I find the bottom here to be fastest. The track surface is pretty smooth. The AI wasn't quite as competitive this race, but still decently quick. Caution free race on this bullring. While navigating traffic I did bump into a couple cars, but nothing substantial. Also bumped the wall a few times. Traffic navigation was pretty good. Pro Late Models at I-55
roylee18A National career race at Federated Auto Parts I-55 Raceway on Expert difficulty. Early in the night there is plenty of traction. Traction does drop a little after Qualifying, but not much, expect a loss of a couple tenths. I find the bottom here to be much faster. If running the top, remember to enter a little lower into turn 1, as the wall there turns in quicker due to the opening. The surface is a little bumpy on the very bottom, but good a little off the bottom. A caution free race with pretty good traffic navigation. I did bump into a couple cars, but nothing substantial. The AI will run 3 different lines around this smaller track, so patience at times is needed. I also had a couple good wall slaps while trying to drive too smooth. Running the top around the AI can be risky, as the AI may slide up into you down the straights. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 241 view -
Pro Late Models at Grant Park
roylee18A National career race at Grant Park Speedway on Expert difficulty. The track does get slick, so it is either tight on the bottom, just above the black, or against the wall. Any place else is slick. Traffic navigation is pretty easy with the wide surface, as long as your setup can run all 3 grooves. Mostly clean race with only slight bumping. 1 caution which I had plenty of room to avoid. Contact was made between Daniel Wilson and Steve Reis, with Reis spinning across the track. Traffic navigation was pretty good. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 242 views -
Pro Late Models at Port Royal
roylee18A National career race at Port Royal Speedway on Expert difficulty. Early in the night there is plenty of traction. Traction does drop a little after Qualifying, but the middle is slick. Generally lap times are quite comparable all night long. The surface is quite bumpy all the way around. A rough caution free race. I did bump into a couple other cars in this race, but nothing substantial. Overall traffic navigation was moderate. A couple times I pushed the issue a little more than I should have. I find the top to be fastest, but currently my setup is unpredictable if tight or loose on exit. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 244 views -
Pro Late Models at Prairie Creek
roylee18The National career race at Prairie Creek Speedway on Expert difficulty. Early in the night there is plenty of traction. Traction does drop a fair bit after Qualifying. After qualifying the middle gets slick. I find the bottom here to be fastest. The track surface is pretty smooth on this tri-oval. The AI wasn't quite as competitive this race, but still decently quick. Had 2 cautions this race. The first one I have no clue what happened. The 2nd one at the end was from Brian Carter turning down into Jamie Maurice, and both cars came to a stop in the corner. I did bump into a couple cars while navigating traffic, but nothing substantial. Traffic navigation was pretty good. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 241 view -
Pro Late Models at Knoxville
roylee18A National career race at Knoxville Raceway on Expert difficulty. Early in the night there is plenty of traction. Traction does drop a little after Qualifying, but not much. Generally lap times are quite comparable all night long. I find the bottom here to be fastest early in the night, then transitioning to the top by the Dash. The track surface is a bit on the choppy side. A long 80 lap race with 1 caution as Kendal Tucker chopped down into Colton Flinner, with Tucker spinning. I just barely missed being collected by Hudson. I did bump into a couple cars in this race, but nothing substantial. Even with the long race, traffic navigation was pretty good. Still need to tweak the setup a little. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 246 views -
Pro Late Models at Sugarbush
roylee18A National career race at Sugarbush Motor Speedway on Expert difficulty. The track does get slick off a bit and also loses quite a bit of speed, so fast lane is tight on the bottom in the corners. Traffic navigation is pretty easy with the wide surface. The lower side of the track is a bit bumpy, but not bad at all. A caution free race with mostly great traffic navigation. Pretty clean race with only 1 harder bump on the AI. Towards the very end I drove it in too hard and got into Daniel Wilson. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 243 views
