The reincarnation of The Divine Shadow is flawed. A series of events unfold, that cause the destruction of the Shadow's power and allow a group of accidental rebels to steal the most powerful weapon in the Universes, the Starship Lexx.

A massive insectoid entity seeking revenge on humanity, controlling the Divine Order and using a vast network of human bodies (the Brunnen-G) to build a gigantic form, the Giga Shadow, to become a god-like being and devour all life for protoblood. After its essence is nearly destroyed by Kai and the Cluster Lizard "Squish," a fragment of its consciousness survives within Kai, setting up future conflicts as the entity tries to regain a body, eventually merging its essence with Kai and creating a new threat.

The gang visits Kai's dead homeworld as the planet's sun is going supernova and ends up caught in a death trap set by the insane hologram of the planet's last survivor known as the Poet Man who died there driven mad by loneliness.

The crew meets the bizarre, insectoid Mantrid, a former advisor to His Divine Shadow who claims he can provide Kai the needed proto-blood, but he's really a mad scientist!.

Kai is woken from stasis but something goes wrong and injures Stanley. To save his life he's put into stasis, after passing control of Lexx to Zev. She seeks out a medical facility and after some unusual negotiations, gets treatment for The doctors are successful, and take an interest in Kai as a potential threat to their wider plans.

The carnivorous plant-like alien Lyekka stows away on the Lexx, seduces and eats visiting astronauts (including Bando and Boosh) from Potatoho, and then regenerates the lost crew member.

On board Lexx, a transmission is received advertising a pleasure ship, the Luvliner. Stanley and Xev decide to have some R&R, however, when they arrive, they discover they need to pay for services. Stanley decides to use the power of Lexx to convince the owner to offer some free samples. The crew begins to enjoy the services, and the owner contacts an associate with plans to steal the Lexx

The crew of the Lexx encounters an automated TV production facility that makes game shows about people competing in game shows. Each is given a part in a program and their success is linked directly to the ratings the show can produce. Everyone has fun till they discover the consequences of having your show canceled

Stanley is tempted by a pleasure ship, however when he arrives he is arrested in a sting operation for crimes involving the death of billions of people. As the trial progresses Kai becomes concerned about the actions of the prosecutor and agrees to defend Stanley in a last ditch attempt to save him from the death sentence.
