Shooting Review

The Springfield Armory Echelon is a full-sized, polymer framed, striker fired pistol. But so is many other guns. What makes this gun unique? Well as you see in this video the feature sets are the real pluses in this pistol. This gun looks and feels like a custom gun out of the box. I will say after shooting it the only things I can think to add/replace on it is an optic and a new trigger shoe. Although the trigger itself is nice the shoe kept slapping my trigger finger actually giving me a blister after shooting. Definitely something is off with it. The pistol ran well with Steel and aluminum cased ammunition so as far as I see no complaints with this. I will review again at 1000+ rounds and see if she's still reliable. #springfield #Echlon

The Canik TTI Combat is one of the newest editions to the @canik line up. The team up with @TaranTactical makes for a John Wick style pistol at a very reasonable price. The 4.7" barrel with the compensator is a unique design with the port in the barrel and the quick detach compensator make for quick cleaning. The grip texture is a bit more aggressive than standard Caniks but definitely help with recoil management. Now I do believe the comp helps the muzzle flip compared to standard Caniks but still snappy and similar to the Echelon in muzzle flip now. Definitely a neat pistol and something you should check out specially if you are a John Wick fan.

Check out the new Mec-Gar Glock 19 magazines! This magazine is neat because it is an all-metal mag that doesn't need the mag catch replaced to use. I saw them at ShotShow 2025 and needed to get one so I purchased as soon as I was able to get one. These are a hot commodity so you will have to put yourself on the list for them if they are out. Teamed up with @moderndayronin3090 to check out the new Springfield Armory Kuna and compare it to the Grand Power Stribog SP9A3. These two PCCs are very similar in size and feature set. They both run a roller delay system, and both are around the same price range. So, when comparing them back-to-back on paper they seem too similar. We decided since we have both it would be pretty good to compare them. This video was filmed at a public range which was new for me and required some different camera angles than I am use to. Definitely a fun colab to do. The new CZ P-09c Nocturne was a good concept. Taking the P-09 and P-07 and updating them to modern feature sets just makes sense. On paper it should have worked well. Unfortunately for CZ in my test and a few others online the pistol was an epic failure. The pistol for my first two tests had failure to go into battery issues and slide lock on full magazine issues. CZ did honor their warranty and fixed the issues and as far as I can tell. Normally if it happened to just me, I would say a fluke but the fact that even some big Youtubers had the same issue, I'd say this is a production flaw. I hope they fixed the issue for current models but with what I've seen with others and with the one I tested, I myself cannot recommend this pistol for carry or home defense. Check out the Palmetto State Armory Micro Dagger 15 round magazines. These are a great option if you do not want to modify your pistol in any way. I have been shooting this for a while with no flaws so far. My only real concern is how long the polymer sleeve will stay attached but at this time no issues so far. Today we got to check out the @SmithAndWessonInc 686 Competition from Performance Center. This revolver is a literal cheat code. The long 6 inch weighted barrel and its large comfortable grip make shooting 357 magnum out of it amazing. Although the muzzle flip is a bit more than I expected the felt recoil is so low that shooting 357 through it was very nice. I expected the Chiappa Rhino would have more muzzle flip but the opposite was true. Though the muzzle rise was more the felling in the hand was way less. The Competition was so much more enjoyable to shoot 357 that I almost forgot I was filming a video for a minute. I had a smile on my face the entire time. This is a must have revolver for the avid shooter. I personally enjoyed this and may have to pick one up for myself soon. Big thanks to @MohaveMac for lending me this revolver. Check out the Savage 1915. Can you believe this pistol is over 100 years old? It runs better than some pistols made last year. The 1915 is a great pistol to shoot. The low recoil and the ease of use make it the perfect pistol for the range. The negative is that it is rare so parts for the 1915 may be ard to come by if it breaks. I do want to try this against a 1903 Hammerless one day and hope I get the chance. It is such a neat pistol to just take out and shoot. I hope you all enjoy this video as much as I did making it. In this video we do a "super scientific" experiment to see what the best defense cartridge is. With the 22LR we had decent performance with a very budget friendly round. The .380 ACP had some narly results for sure and for one round of some budget ammo it did better than I expected. The 9mm performed pretty much how I expected since I was using a better hollow point plus it is a well-known defensive cartridge. What was interesting though is how multiple 22LR in a condensed location responded. The results of this "totally scientific" test show with good practice and muscle memory 22LR can be viable. Happy Father's Day! This video is mainly for those who don't have the extra cash to upgrade their AR-15s and think the only options for them are the Cheap Temu options. You can get good quality upgrades for you rifle for fairly cheap and they will run well. With a new stock, new grips, new charging handle, new trigger and an optic, you can make a cheap AR-15 feel great. You don't need to spend 1k plus on parts either. As a dad myself there is rarely extra money to upgrade guns so building on a budget is necessary if you want the feel of those nicer rifles. I personally love the feel of a nice trigger and comfortable stock. It totally changes the whole rifle.
