I am 72 years of age and I have led a very colourful life. I had my first personal experience with God back in 1976. It had such an effect on my life that I felt such a strong calling to offer myself to His ministry that I decided to seek becoming a Salvation Army Officer and applied to commence Candidate training. I started coordinating the Youth Fellowship section at my local Salvation Army Citadel helping expand its numbers with regular new members and Sunday night attendees. We would go to other churches and hold meetings with their Youth sections. Unfortuneately, I left the Salvation Army due to a disagreement with my then Commanding Officer and my views were drastically altered. I stopped attending any church but although I wandered far away from the narrow path, including a prison sentence, I never actually left God. Some 47 years later I can honestly say that my Faith is fully back and stronger than it ever was.
