What is/was Philosophy Night? Philosophy Night (ran monthly, from 1995 through 1996) at The Wormhole, in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida, was a live, all-ages talk show that featured speakers (or a speaker) discussing a topic, followed by questions-and-answers. How did Philosophy Night start? It was started as a way for people to get their opinions heard, both on the stage as a speaker and in the audience, during the question-and-answer followup. Originally, if I remember correctly, I was talking with my Mom, Grace Kemp, and she mentioned in London, England there's a place where people go to give public talks. Then, we discussed organizing something similar at a venue in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida. This was in the mid-1990's, before cell phones flooded the market, and people were more apt to participate in gatherings like this, as a way to connect and experience with others.
