Suggestions of potential mud flood, reset and old world-inspired architecture in this young Western Canadian city. Let's check it out! Calgary was "Founded" in 1875 by the North-West Mounted Police, and Incorporated in 1884 with a total population of approximately 500 people. After the Canadian Pacific Railroad added a stop in Calgary in 1883, the population began to "boom."
