We married right out of high school in West Virginia, bought a house, raised 2 children -- living the All American dream! Realizing the importance of proper nutrition in relation to our family’s health, we became interested in homesteading aka growing and raising our own food thus started our homestead journey. Only having 1/2 of acre of land in WV, we utilized every inch of it and often dreamed of having more property. God being sovereign in all his ways, said to us “Go where I send thee” so we packed up, moved to Virginia, opened a church, and bought a small homestead. It has been a great adventure so far and we want to share our little Piece of Heaven with you! We are a small family farm in the Appalachian mountains of PA. We practice regenerative organic production methods, management-intensive grazing for our dexter cattle. Our enhanced Delaware dual purpose chickens are regularly moved and free ranging on pasture providing our family and customers both meat and eggs. We utilize no till gardening methods to grow organic vegetables. We use a variety of processing methods to preserve and store what we grow and raise on farm including water bath canning, freeze drying, freezing, and dehydrating.

In 2022, after a growing desire to homestead, we decided it's now or never, reflecting on 'let your yes be yes and your no be no'. Within 24 hours we were stood in the garden of a property that would become our home. But first we had to sell our old house in Laois and get through all the challenges of buying a house that was technically not for sale.
