The Suicide Squad - Finally a well written DCEU but the tone is all wrong

The Suicide Squad is the 2021 follow up to 2016's flop: Suicide Squad. With the exception of Wonder Woman and Shazam, the DCEU has been a dismal failure. Warner Bros decided to snap up James Gunn after Marvel let him go for jokes about CP. His return to film has finally given us a DCEU movie that's well written, and directed. The only problem is it's the wrong movie for 2021.

The audience reaction has been disappointing.
