School Security Throws Out Kids Lunches?

The Aliquippa school district in Pennsylvania has complained that students are bringing "excessive amounts of snacks" to school, causing a host of problems. This has prompted the school to crack down on the amount of snacks that children bring in, even to go so far as throwing out excessive amounts of snacks. The students who regularly bring their lunches to school are also being greatly affected.

Is the school doing the right thing? Is this more of a parenting problem?
