The Meaning of "Believe and Be Saved"

Yahshua was talking about the Resurrection and life around the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah). He also spoke about "belief." So the question becomes "belief in what?" When we were Christians we were taught that all we had to do to be saved was to "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ" and we would be saved. But that's not what the Scriptures say. Sit with Isaac on a Shabbat morning as he unpacks what is meant by "believe on me and you will be saved" for his teenage daughter.

Discover that we must believe that YHVH sent Yahshua to speak his (YHVH's) WORDS–––the same WORDS that YHVH spoke from the mountain in Ex.19-24. The people in Yahshua's day were not believing him. It wasn't an issue of that they didn't believe he existed. He was standing right there in front of him. It was that they weren't believing that he was the Prophet spoken of by Moses that they (we) must listen to and obey.
