The Botched Bald Knobber Execution

In May 1889 three Bald Knobber vigilantes were executed for the home invasion and murder of William Edens and Charles Green. The hanging took place on the Ozark, Missouri town square, and it went very, very wrong. The sheriff had never done a hanging, or even seen one done.
