Will the Real Servant of Adonai Please Stand Up - Isaiah 53

Isaiah Chapter 53 has long been held by Christian teaching to point to Jesus as the Mashiach (Messiah). However, an understanding of the original Hebrew text refutes this missionary notion as will be shown in this video by Shmuel ben Shlomi. Have you ever asked why Isaiah 53 was never referred to as a prophetic proof text by the First Century followers of Jesus, as were others mentioned by the gospel writers? Could it be these early believers, all Jewish until the middle to end of the First Century understood the Hebrew text and knew it wasn't pointing to Jesus? Surely, if they did, such a powerful section of Isaiah would have been quoted often in their writings. This Isaiah 53 promulgation of misinformation was a much, much later view within the Christian Church, who by that time had removed all vestiges of anything Hebrew or Jewish from their catechism.
