The Caligula Effect Overdose Review

The Caligula Effect Overdose is an enhanced port of the original game released and with The Caligula Effect 2 coming out this year what better time to review it. original released on the Playstation Vita. Often called a persona clone, the game does have social elements but not on the levels Persona does. The Caligula Effect Overdose sees you in the world of Mobius, a world created to escape the hardships of the real world and live in a utopia free from pain. You play as the Go Home Club a group of high school students want to escape the world of Mobius and return to the real world. The caligula has a unique spin on turn based combats as you’ll make predictions into how you think combat may play out but it doesn’t always go as planned. While not a perfect game this is a prime example of with many flaws but still does a lot of things right, with the second game coming out in October I’m really hoping it takes what the first one did builds upon it makes a much more rounded experience.
