E13 0001 Claremore, Verdigris and Catoosa on Route 66 49

This entire series was filmed during late summer of 2010.Many of the personalities still can be found but many others have moved on. This series will tell you of history, it will show attractions, it will make you laugh and cry. This is the Mother Road. Follow us as we reveal American's main street. In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure Before we continued south west from Claremore, we met with John Cary of the Will Rogers Hotel now used as a senior center. John gave us some history and a story. We took some shots of landmark motels and restaurants until we arrived at the Nut House and met by Hazel Ward. We explored a mysterious tunnel and the twin bridges in Verdigris. Our destination is the Blue Whale, a iconic rest area and water park with the famous Blue Whale.
