Canoeing among the bald cypress trees in Benton Lake

Just upstream from the famous Caddo Lake, Benton Lake is connected to Big Cypress Bayou in northeast Texas. The area is famous for its flooded terrain filled with Bald Cypress trees covered in hanging Spanish Moss. Because it is early spring, there are no leaves on the trees , which gives the landscape a mysterious appearance (no snakes or mosquitos yet!).
