This entire series was filmed during late summer of 2010.Many of the personalities still can be found but many others have moved on. This series will tell you of history, it will show attractions, and it will make you laugh and cry. This is the Mother Road. Follow us as we reveal American's main street. In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure where we met a couple who told a romantic old road story at the Vega Motel, but first we filmed an old Texaco Station. It looks like they may be restoring the Vega Motel. We met Sandra and Phillip Gilmore when filming the motel, and they shared with us their romantic Route 66 story. From there we filmed iconic landmarks like the Roadrunner Drive In ruin, the Magnolia Station, Roark Hardware, and their main street before we found their best attraction, Dot's Mini Museum. Betty Carpenter, Dots daughter, who gave us the tour.
