LOCKBEARD PHENOMENA #003. Pizzly Bear

The speculation about what Bigfoot is hits a wide range of ideas. A spirit or demon. An Ape. An inter-dimensional being. An Alien. An Ape. A relic Hominin. But when I hypothesize that it is actually a race of Homo sapiens, our own species, I am sure some people may find that hard to believe.

In the past, I've used a comparison of dog breeds to illustrate how different individuals can be within a species. But when the subject of Polar Bears came up on Mogollon Monsters show, 'WTF? Live' on Thursday, July 29th 2021, I got to thinking about the genetic relationship between Polar Bears & Brown Bears & how they can be another example of two creatures that have significant differences but can still interbreed as one species.

The Grolar Bear or Pizzly bear is a cross between the two animals and an example of one of my gripes about classifications of animals as separate species when they are clearly 2 subspecies of the same species. I believe this has been done in Anthropology & proven with genetic evidence.

We'll start with that & let the conversation go where it may.
