Discussion on Progress of Training Dog with Horses

Slinky is doing very well. I deliberately feed the horses near him when the weather is good and I have plenty of time to put in to supervise and train. I don't want to set the dog or the horses up to fail.
The dog has barked a lot at the horses, he is threatened by them and that's understandable. He does need to learn that he is here to protect them, not to protect me from them. He knows his job is to protect me and warn me of activity. So it's the next step in teaching him.
