The Connection Between Chimpanzees and Humans

After sifting through thousands of comments on my recently popular Gombe Chimpanzee War video, I noticed a trend of anti-evolutionists who were either,

1) Trolling
2) A product of Western religious indoctrination
3) Completely incorrect in their understanding of evolution

They commented on that video in droves claiming that we could take nothing away from studying species that are close to us on the evolutionary timeline because we did not evolve from them, or anything similar to them.

Why do people think humans evolved from Chimpanzees?

How is it possible to have a discussion about our past when many of us have absolutely no understanding of what the other side thinks, but they claim that it's wrong anyway?

How do you rationalize combating facts and conjecture, with just conjecture, or even belief?

These are some of the question we are going to ask ourselves in this video.
