Lukashenko:We don’t need dollars and euros!I asked switch to transactions in Russian rubles long ago

Lukashenko: Oh well. They have made their choice [those, who enforced sanctions and suspended cooperation with partners in Russia and Belarus]. Trust me: for the benefit of not only us but you, too. Why is it convenient for us? We don't stress about the Russian ruble! I have been demanding for a long time that we should switch to transactions using Russian rubles! We don't need dollars and euros. It was simply impossible to break this wall. But here you go! Today we pay with Russian rubles for energy resources and the rest. It suits us!

Other countries will learn from Belarus and Russia how to overcome sanctions. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement at a meeting with Governor of Russia’s Primorye Territory Oleg Kozhemyako in Vladivostok on 13 April.
