Redwood Planter Boxes and Arbor

The cost of Redwood planters is sky high. The price range for the size I built (24"x24"x24") was anywhere from $126 each to over $600! I decided to make my own and add an arbor. The redwood planks I used were 1X8X6, not 1X6X6 as shown on the video. Total cost for the project (not including soil) was $216.00. For the arbor I used lodgepole stakes which increased the cost by $140. Using 2x2's would have been much cheaper, but I liked the look of the lodgepole stakes, and I had the budge for them.

I am going to trellis some small melons from each side, which I will post at a later date.
