Generation Z: Why the Generation is the Saddest

The US is experiencing an extreme teenage mental-health crisis. From 2009 to 2021, the share of American high-school students who are depressed daily has increased from 8% to 13%. The number of teens who have seriously considered suicide has increased from 13% to 18%. And the number of teens who have made a suicide plan has increased from 8% to 12%. A new CDC study has come that brings some clarity to why. This is the highest level of teenage sadness ever recorded.
