Deeply Formed Life Book Summary - Help Me with My Woke Pastor

Deeply Formed Life Book Summary written By Rich Villodas which is the Pastor of New Life Fellowship in Queens, NY. Rich was my pastor for many years. The last few years I believe he started headed down the wrong path and became a woke pastor. Matt Chandler would be the poster boy for woke pastor of the year award but i think Rick might even go further then Matt in some of his thinking. Woke pastors make weak Christians and that is why i am doing this video. I believe he is going to destroy New Life Fellowship completely with in a few years. Many Elders and Deacons stepped down yet he continues down the wrong path. Before I stepped down as a deacon at his church I addressed the church leadership but they didn't respond one bit. I go over a few things in the book I disagree with. This video was a clip from a larger video I did on the false church.

The false church is characterized by Derek Prince (The greatest bible study teacher i am aware of) by three things:

1. Embracing the New Age
2. Embracing tenants of Marxism, Communism, or Socialism.
Under this umbrella also includes Liberation Theology and Embracing social justice movements
3. Embracing liberal Theology

I believe the Deeply formed life embraces bits of number 2 and 3 in the list above. Of course the book has a degree of truth and some really good ideas as well. Eat the meat and spit out the bones. But lets just be aware of what the bones are. I did want to say Pastor Rich is a great person. This is not an attack on him but a push back on some of his ideas.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself if your interested. Josh has a degree in Applied Psychology from NYU and went to seminary at Bethel University and ORU University. I worked under Pete teaching the course and getting mentorship from him. Josh also led living waters and cross current at the church which is a program for the sexual broken and the LBGTQ community. Josh also helped lead on the Inner Healing and Deliverance Team. Josh is now a student at Orbis School of Ministry run by Ken Fish. Josh is in the process of building Torn Curtain ministry to bring revival, renewal, and reformation to the church. I would also like to start a 24/7 house of prayer in NYC with a church.
