Hope these examples are clear:
1 - normal setter set
2 - setter receive and MB set
3 - serving

The basics, you want to start your charge ability (run up) and activate it with jump again when the indicator is in the red arc at the bottom of the screen. Stay to the left of your setter when he's setting, and right on your MB when he is. Time your skills right, jump at the peak, and hit it high.... takes muscle memory and practice.
