Nigerian Dwarf Goat Breeding! WOW!

Fall breeding season in underway on the homestead and the action is fast and furious! If you’ve ever wanted to know how baby goats are made then this video is for you. Watching Benji, our Nigerian Dwarf buck work a couple does in heat was incredibly interesting and very educational (if you’re into that sort of thing).

Later in the video Megan explains WHY we have dairy goats and how they fit into our goals for our farm. There’s more to it than just having a bunch of cute critters running around. Next year we hope to start making goat lotion and soap, as well as continue to enjoy drinking goat milk (our children LOVE it).
