Checking in on Facebook using a retort kiln to make charcoal. Transforming woody material into charcoal with pyrolysis. The charcoal will be become biochar once inoculated.

The process of making biochar includes brush collection, cutting down materials, burning them without oxygen, and then mixing with compost to innoculate. Home-made charcoal is also used to smoke meats.
