BDO - Find where you are in the desert via pet special - BDO Exploit ?

So during my stream session I kinda figured out this interesting way to see where you are in the desert with out having a compass on. If you have a pet that has the special ability to find resources it will create a red beam whenever it uncovers something. That red beam shows up on the map which in turns tells you where you are in the desert.
