He graduated high school with a solid 2.3 GPA, and although all his friends were going off to college, he couldn't wait to leave academia. He never desired to go to college but was firmly driven to work and make money.

His first job out of high school was in a machine shop. He saved his money, tried his hands in a few other business areas, and eventually began a family business at 24 with his father and another partner.

By 25, he had worked his way up the ladder and completely seized the reigns of the company, which was in need of a turnaround. He knew he could save it, and guided by his two mentors, he completed the overhaul in about three years, and after seven years, he and his partners sold.

Today:

Based on years of real-world experience, Gino Wickman created the Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS®), a practical method for helping companies achieve greatness.

He personally delivered more than 1,900 full-day sessions for more than 135 companies, helping them implement EOS.

He is also the author of the award-winning, best-selling book Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business, which has sold over 1 million copies, as well as five other books in the Traction Library that have sold almost 2 million copies.
