Dog Training. The Basics... Basic, Boring, but Critical.

No fast forward, no music, ZERO editing, just another day! These are NOT dog trainers, these are clients. These are not special or advanced dogs, they are house pets. Most had issues prior to training. Group training is about neutrality, stability, communication, proofing, exposure. Group training is not for learning, play, social activity, etc. We proof training, work on reliability and identify issues. We coach during group training, but group training is not for teaching or learning - it is for proofing..

Tons of handler mistakes here, countless errors, its not pretty - BUT ITS REAL. Remember - it NEVER matters what a trainer can do with your dog, it only matters what you can do with your dog. Be the best "you" that you can be. Train your dog EVERYDAY after your dog is formally trained - LIFE is training. Your dog is not a software update, training takes daily reinforcement to be successful. Every minute of the day your dog is learning, observing, watching, etc. You and you alone are responsible for your dogs education. Listen to your trainer, maintain your training, hold your dog accountable. Use everyday, every event, every minute as a training opportunity.
