Russian Soldier Uses Periscope To Avoid Sniper

A Russian soldier was recorded using a handheld periscope to minimize the threat of sniper fire while scanning for threats at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

Periscopes have been used in fighting positions since at least WWI where popping your head out of a trench would get it popped like a balloon. Seemingly archaic tactics continue to prove themselves practical of the modern battlefield.
