Billy Ray Turner is alleged to have murder former NBA center Lorenzen Wright, back in 2010. In July 2010, Wright made a 911 call to authorities in that was cut short by recorded gunshots. He was found dead on July 28, 2010.

Prosecutors claim that Sherra Wright, his ex-wife was behind his murder. She was originally charged with first-degree murder, but she ended up pleading down to lesser charges of facilitation to commit first-degree murder and facilitation to commit attempted first-degree murder. She was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Turner was a landscaper who went to Sherra Wright’s church. Allegations are that Turner and Sherra Wright were in a relationship and discussed killing Lorenzen Wright.
