Jakarta students rally over president’s alleged extension of term

Hundreds of students protested outside the House of Representatives in Jakarta, decrying rumors about the postponement of the 2024 presidential election to allow President Joko Widodo to remain in office. Protesters were also demanding that the price of gas, cooking oil and other basic supplies be controlled.
